If god was all powerful why would he need a big bang, he would just wish the universe to be, and it would be, right? Just like if god wants an omelet, he wouldnt cook one, he would just want it, so it would appear before him on a plate, end of story.

Many scientists don't believe in the "Big Bang" because of the scientific measurements that all matter from the Big Bang moved 10 to the 100000 power faster than the speed of light ... this phenomena is called "theory of inflation". So this contradicts Einsteins E=MC(squared).

Additionally, the pattern of the Universe isn't indicative of a patter having a center source but rather the Universe appears to be a continuous realm.

Personally, I belive in the Big Bang ... and I do believe the Universe has a center.

Sure, and all he'd have to do is clap his hands, or stomp a foot, or snap, to make such a big bang. Obviously, I'm in a bit of a humorous mood... God created all. Maybe there was a big bang and, if so, He made that, too. Whatever happened, God did it. Praise Him or blame Him, but he did it, and always for the best, no matter how it seems.

If there is a god, why would he go about it in such a convoluted way as to create the big bang? Why did he not just create the earth and all the humans and animals as they are.

My belief is there is no god.

Absolutely !! There's a master mind behind all extrodinary findings and inventions so if there wasn't a master mind behind the BIG BANG then what caused caused it to happen?

All things have to be created to exist ...

If we observe what the universe is doing, it appears that we can extrapolate to it having zero dimension. (I hesitate to saying go back in time, because if the universe had zero dimension, there would be no time). Somehow, from this zero, the universe came into being - with all its physics and mathematics.

OK. So you can claim that it just happened, but that's not how the universe works - so why did it then?

Most Christians will say no. But I say yes. I believe God gave us his explanation in the bible because we are unable to fully conceive what he really did...at least back when the book of genesis was first written.

If there was a big bang, I have no doubt that it was caused by God and God alone.

Absolutely. It might as well be God - because the idea that it happened 'out of nothing' is exactly as believable or as absurd.

Also, it sounds just like Him.
