I'd call the first one delusional, and the second a phycopath. You don't have to talk to a deity to know whether this is normal behaviour or not.

Are you asking this question of Christians? Those whose common sense and sanity you doubt? Strange!
Firstly I tend not to make my mind up about unsubstantiated claims unless there is a pressing reason for me to do so - why fill my head with unnecessary judgements?
But, to answer your question, I would simply not believe either of the claims you present in your question. Even as a believer in the virgin birth of Jesus I consider a simple natural explanation is to be preferred to an extraordinary one - usually. This is common sense.
That is not to say that the extraordinary cannot happen and, if it does happen, and I always reject it then at some point I'm going to be wrong. It is perfectly sane to believe (or even to reason) that there is much beyond the mundane.
I believe in Mary's virginity not because of any claim she made but because I believe in her son. Believing him to be both human and divine it is an easy step to accept his birth would be extraordinary event. If Jesus had turned out to be an ordinary guy we wouldn't be discussing this!

Religion has a lot to do w/ common sense and sanity. we live our lives by a set of morals, and by what makes sense to us. i cant speak for everyone, but i call my self a Christan and i simply have lived life on my own and by my own understanding long enough, to realize that i don't have all the answers, that I'm not good enough at life to do it by myself, call me weak, or whatever, be honest, can you say you live completely independent, solving all problems on your own. of course not, that's why you're on YA, seeking help from others. I simply found more help in what God has to say, then what man has, and that i can't get to God on my own, i need help, so i rely on Jesus, so I'm a Christan.
and to answerer your question, yes i think a True Christ follower can call some one a liar, it's the false ones that have difficulty with it. meaning a true Christ follower knows Christ, and can rely on prayer (talking to God) to give them wisdom in a situation like what you described. while a false one, kind of has just Church culture and tradition to go by, a very poor position to do life by To the girl, she needs help and care, not condemnation that can not do anything to help her current situation, so i would help. the murder i have less sympathy for, however he did just loose his family and is very confused right now, and in some ways needs as much help as the girl, although he does need jail, all actions have consequence God is not a "get out of Jail free" card, but he can be "just visiting" there w/ you

What a Christian would do in this case is check his beliefs (such as the belief that God wants you to kill a family) with what God's Word says. If the belief contradicts the Scripture )like it contradicts a commandment in this case) then you can know that your belief is not of God. Hope this helped.

As a Christian, yes i can say that they are liars because those claims contradict the very nature of God.

the 1st question, alright lady congratulations! your giving birth to the second comming of jesus, its to bad the kid's dad won't be here to pay child support.
The 2nd question, assuming there is god and that he is good, would he ever ask someone to do that? and if he did would anyone believe the guy? no is he a liar? maybe not, but is he going to get to spend the rest of his life in a cell most likely.

Yes. I am a "true" Christian and, although I might not call them liars, I would not believe their claims. The Lord speaks to us through His holy Scripture alone.

You are talking about sanity, with a question like yours that makes absolutely no sense? Get serious.

Too many people use this excuse as an insanity defense in order to get a lighter sentence or to receive their time at a psychiatric facility. And yes, these people would be considered liars.

The proof is in the pudding. A murderer is just what he is, a murderer, God does not command to kill.
And Jesus, well, I guess his mother wasn't lying, since he did what he did.
