Do they meet and discuss things?

The majority of Christians (that includes me) today are living their lives like the Pharisees of Jesus' day?

We need to get real with our faith before we go spreading it! I'm sick of seeing Christians that throw hell threats around and act as if the world were beneath them!

If we are no different than the world in our lives than how are they going to see a difference in Jesus? We are the good news. We are the gospel.

Jesus was a Jew and most of us beleive that Israel still has a special place in God's heart. But what I want to know is how do you feel about us Christians when we go all goo-goo in the Holy Land? And also we know for a fact that God stood with you against all odds when you were serving him in the bible. He did GREAT things for you. I know some of you have a problem with Jesus but We love Jehovah too. So why are you not responding or quiet about this creationism versus evolution thing? Just curious.

were miseducated by the same type of people who make up stuff today. Why you think there are so many different religions? Faith only makes you think u have purpose in your short life.

I don't think he does. I think he only knows what God tells him. What are your thoughts?

Even he doesn't know the hour when his second comming will occur. Only God, his father knows.

Is it your personal belief that the wafer actually becomes a bit of Jesus' flesh, or that it somehow becomes magically endowed with Jesus' "essence"?

Obviously, he is more interested in historical lessons and masking them as a question. Does anyone understand the point he is making? Is it that the history of Christianity is violent? I'm sure Jesus would have to agree with that. Can anyone enlighten me as to why this would somehow invalidate Christianity?

I've been exploring religions lately, this is just to satisfy my curiousity, and a conversation with a pastor got me thinking. Which do you think will be the future of religions? We'll keep battling who's right and the strongest will survive or we'll try and find what we have in common than differences and we'll try to make peace with what we have in common. Which do you hope for?

4And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
5And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

I like this one =)

Everyone asks what the meaning of life is...I want to know what the meaning of YOUR life is? What is your destiny?? Why are you here?? Life means different things to different people so I don't think it is ever possible to have one answer for the entire world.

I've also seen an increase in attire I would consider very inappropriate and suggestive. What happened to respect for the Mass and Jesus present in the eucharist? What happened to modesty?

Quote, "...and of all Huguenots (Protestants) within reach of the soldiery and the mob. The massacre continued even after a royal order to stop, and it spread from Paris into other sections of France. Massacres continued into October (1572) reaching the provinces of Rouen, Lyons, Bourges, Orleans, and Bourdeaux. An estimated 3,000 were killed in Paris, 70,000 in all of France. News of the massacres was welcomed by the Pope and the King of Spain. Protestants, however, were horrified, and the killings rekindled the hatred between Protestants and Catholics..."

Jesus never spoke of following scripture, did he? He never wrote down his own teachings. Do you need a Bible to be Christian?

Is there anywhere in the Gospels written that Jesus Christ is God? Has he ever mentioned that he was God? I recall reading that he said he was the son of God. Unless I am mistaken I think I read somewhere that Jesus Christ was God. But other people are telling me that there is nowhere in the Bible that read that he was God. If there is please give me details where to find it thank you.

Capital "G" Biblical God, here...First, we need to define his characteristics. I think people agree he's supposed to be omniscient, omnipotent...that's about it. Certainly he's not fair or loving, so forget about those.

So, CAN a being that is all knowing and all powerful create this universe, exist before that creation, and not need to be created?

Atheists have done NO SEARCH for meaning, other than science, and Christians you have done NO SEARCH for meaning other than Jesus, How can you be so conclusive?

According to a synopsis of the book "Pagan Christianity," the following practices have been corrupted, have their origins in paganism, or are practiced in an unscriptural manner:
1. The Order of Worship
2. The Sermon
3. The Church Building
4. The Pastor
5. Sunday Morning Costumes
6. Ministers of Music
7. Tithes and Clergy Salaries
8. Baptism and the Lord’s Supper
9. Christian Education

This is now the THIRD time I have posted this requesting a book review. The author of this book is a practicing Christian and does not believe the Gospel is pagan, but that many of our practices are either pagan, or have been corrupted or are simply unscriptural in the way they are practiced.

IF you have READ the book, please comment on it; if not, please refrain. (I have not read the book either)

Listening to recent records by Kirk Franklin and Deitrick Haddon, I have noticed that they have used samples from secular songs. To me these samples remind you of the original songs and therefore take away any spiritual element of the new songs. I wonder whether some gospel artists are becoming to get more concerned with sales as opposed to spreading the Good News.

If God is so perfect, won't all his actions be perfect. If a perfect scientist, makes anything, from his knowledge of science, there should be no room for impections. So God made satan, God KNOWS all...he must knew satan would be rebel? so why make im? IS God just the FLOW OF reality? and we're giving this flow a personality?

The bible says, he loves all his childrens...so i guess he don't see you as ugly, ignorant, gay or fat? he see's you all the same?

Maybe god got tired of making beautiful people, cause the beautiful people kept sinning and doing things that he didn't favor. Maybe he got tired of making straight people, because straight people kept sinning and doing things that he didn't like. So he threw a curve ball!

I will not tell you whether I'm religious or not as it makes no difference.

But, this is what I'm curious about... the people that say they're Christian and sin without end... they forget completely about God, according to the Bible every action, every breath is for God. You place NO one before God.

This is just one of the ten commandments.

Another one is no sex before marriage and NO THOUGHTS OF LUST (ahem) - those are considered adultery.

The majority of Christians just say they believe... but they don't even practice what they preach.

God won't forgive you if you sin day and night without end. I guess all these wannabe Christians aren't going to Heaven as they think they are. They're destined for Hell.

Wouldn't that be correct?

PS - I am aware that most Christians in the R&S section are True Christians... the ones you don't meet every day. But what are your thoughts on the other SUPPOSED Christians?
