Jesus is not at all fictional..he did exist..key word being "did"...he is a prophet in most religions and only the Christians take it to the fictional levels..as for "like pikachu"..I am off to search to learn something...ok back.."In the Pokémon franchise, Pikachu are often found in forests, plains, and occasionally near mountains, islands and electrical sources (such as power plants), on most continents throughout the world. Pikachu often travel in packs,[citation needed] and are rarely territorial;[citation needed] however, when threatened, a group can generate an intense electrical offensive, and the electro-magnetic forces exerted by the resulting field can even produce a short lived, localized thunderstorm.[3]"...well fictionally it sounds more like Osama Bin Ladin more than Christ...so now we know where Bush found Bin Ladin's profile and the legend that Bush could not read is dashed..oh wait, maybe Cheney watched Pokeman.

Hm, well that WOULD explain the lightning-shaped tail that Jesus was supposed to have had...

Actually there is quite a bit of evidence to suggest that Jesus was entirely or partly fictional. Some of the best writing on this subject was done by a man named Gerald Massey. He showed that the story of Jesus was most likely originally a parable created by Gnostics. (Christians claim that Gnosticism arose from Christianity, but it is quite likely that the opposite is true). You can find some of Massey's essays here:

Also, if one discounts documents created by earlier Christians, and just looks for secular records of the existence of Jesus from that time, one will find that there are almost none of them. The very few that could POSSIBLY refer to Jesus are rather suspect. Information on these sources can be found here:

Iam really really really sure, that jesus wasn't a fictional character like pikachu. How can you compare a character with jesus? I don't understand people this days. Sweetie Pie, I don't have any doubts about jesus christ. He came to the world to save us and to pay for our sins. Don't you think jesus wants respect and love from us.?

The vast majority of Biblical scholars and Historians, particularly the atheist ones do believe that their was an individual that their was a man about 2,000 years ago with a name similar to Jesus that had followers which claimed him to be the messiah.

Everything beyond that is speculation.

The writings of secular historians preclude the idea the that Jesus was fictional.

Jesus was definetly not fictional because there is tangible evidence that he existed and was a prophet. Also, his teachings have been passed through generations. If he was fictional, religions would not bas their morality on his actions.

I've at least *seen* Pikachu.

Heck, I used to choose Pikachu in Smash Bros. until I learned to play as Ness. Once you learn Ness, you never go back.
