Um, I know atheists believe in nothing at all, not religious stuff, but what exactly do agnostics believe in?

Agnostics say... maybe there is a God...but we, as humans, have no way of knowing

Athiests say... there is NO God.

Its as simple as that

Agnostics acknowledge that we have no proof of either the existence or non-existence of God. I BELIEVE in God, but know that I could be wrong, so I call myself an agnostic theist. If it was the other way around and I DIDN'T believe in God but knew I could be wrong, then I would be an agnostic atheist. Or you could have no opinion on the existence of God and just admit that we don't know and then you would be a plain old agnostic.

It differs. Agnostics, in general, though, are just open to the POSSIBILITY of a god, gods or the supernatural. They are usually religiously neutral and don't believe you need to believe in a religion even if there IS a god. Some people are agnostic simply because while the existence of a god cannot be proven, it also cannot be disproven as of yet.

An agnostic is skeptical and demands evidence, and aethiest in basic terms denies even the possibility that God ought to exist. The latter defies good judgment and an aethiest assumes they understand extra effective than any individual will ever understand, meaning they deny that somebody born a million years from now could have some thing to make a contribution to the argument. they could deny that it somewhat is even conceivable certainty is in straightforward terms a simulation like the Matrix which scientists debate those days as properly. Aethiests in basic terms stay in denial, it somewhat is an emotional argument no longer a logical one. A logical one could be to be agnostic and demand evidence the two way.

Agnosticism (from the Greek "a," meaning "without," and Gnosticism or "gnosis," meaning knowledge) means "unknowable," and is the philosophical view that the truth value of certain claims—particularly theological claims regarding metaphysics, afterlife or the existence of God, god(s), deities, or even ultimate reality—is unknown or, depending on the form of agnosticism, inherently unknowable due to the nature of subjective experience.

Agnostics claim either that it is not possible to have absolute or certain knowledge of God or gods; or, alternatively, that while individual certainty may be possible, they personally have no knowledge. Agnosticism in both cases involves some form of skepticism.

Demographic research services normally list agnostics in the same category as atheists and non-religious people,[1] although this can be misleading depending on the number of agnostic theists who identify themselves first as agnostics and second as followers of a particular religion.

Agnostic - Somebody who believes that it is impossible to know whether or not God exists. May I further add that most Agnostics do believe in a higher beginning, power, or order in the universe. It may be one of the various religious gods or it may not.

Agnostic ultimately has nothing to do with theism/deism/atheism.

Agnostic means that the person acknowledges that the existence of a deity cannot be proven nor disproven.

Agnosticism can be combined with atheism, deism, or theism.

An agnostic atheist believes there is no deity (or has no believe in a deity, subtle difference) but acknowledges that such a belief cannot be proven.

An agnostic deist believes there is an unrevealed deity, but that such a believe cannot be proven.

An agnostic theist believes there is a deity or deities who have revealed themselves in some way to the human race, but acknowledges that such a belief cannot be proven.

There are a *lot* of incorrect answers here, but J.P. is right. Choose that one for "best."

Essentially, "agnostic" is not a monolithic entity. One can be a strong or weak agnostic, meaning, respectively, that one believes knowledge of a god's existence is unknowable or just presently unknown. One can also be atheistic or theistic while being agnostic.

An agnostic is the opposite of gnostic which means "knowledge", therefor an agnostic usually refers to a person without knowledge of god. An agnostic atheist (yes, you can be both) is a person who doesn't believe in god because they have no knowledge of god.

Atheists do not believe there is a god, or any kind of supreme being. Agnostics say there is no way for them to know whether there is a god or what kind of god it is.

Theism - belief in god or gods. Atheism - lack of belief in god.

Gnosis - knowledge. Agnosticism - lack of knowledge (about the existence of a higher power).

Atheists do not believe in any god(s).

Agnostics believe that it is not possible to know whether any higher power exists or not, because there is no proof one way or another.
