Let me get this straight-the proof of the fullfilled phrophecies are all in the same book as the phrophecies themselves?

I'm a Christian, Yet I believe you have every God/Man given right to believe or not believe. It just seems from many Questions and Answers that Atheist don't just believe there is no God, but seem to hate Christians. Why such animosity towards people who simply believe something different? Do you feel the same towards Jews, Muslims, Buddhist? It's one thing to believe something different, it's another thing to show hate. Why such strong negative feelings just because we believe something that has been believed for 1000's of years?
Note: I strongly disagree with Christians that respond to Atheist in a mean or derogatory manner. They need to re-read the bible.

Not that I don't care or that she doesn't deserve the attention, but isn't enough that we know she was an awesome person? Do you think that some people might be responding with fake sentiments since not everyone is a regular and might not know her?

and not just to what they agree with. I see so many bad smart a** answers with nearly 10 thumbs up's and only a couple thumbs downs. I don' think some people deserve the thumbs up thwt they are getting. Certain questions that seem to have the favor of Christians, when an atheist gives an answer that answers the question thourly but gives a little of their opinion get thumbs down from all the other Christians. It's the same the the way around (not targeting any particular group). If a answer is good, can we all give them a thumbs up regardless of what we agree with or not?

If a hundred children were raised in a house completely isolated from the world (lived in the boonies, no phone, tv, internet, or visitors) and had no direct contact or knowledge of their caretakers (say they were left meals in an otherwise closed off room at the same times every day), would any come to believe in a God?

Then how come when the population was at its lowest (Adam and Eve), he didn't make up like 10 Eve's for Adam to reproduce and replenish faster?
Also, are you honestly even able to fathom God saying Polygamy is ok, even just for a short time period? I'm LDS and I can't say that I believe he ever thought it was okay. I joined the LDS church because I like their teachings of the closeness of families and how eternal families are a main focal point. Please explain all this to me as you see it.
Thanks.

Also, please state your religion or lack thereof, if you don't mind.

by christian standards, are they allowed to remarry, or must they remain single. I'm looking for answers to both males and females, because the bible does treat them differently. Can anyone answer this?

Also, if they are not allowed to remarry, does god forgive them if they do, or are they living in sin and violation of god's law?

I have the absolute worst fear of dying and I want to know if anyone shares this with me...I actually wake up in cold sweats and hyperventilating. I have been like this since I was about 7 years old and since I've had kids it has gotten a 1000x worse. It is affecting my life and I don't know what to do...is there anyone else out there???

The Bible states; only a fool says in his heart there is no God. So this implies that the existence of God is obvious to any sensible person. The best way to examine this is to ask, not what atheists don’t believe in, but what they actually do believe in. - - -
If you reject the existence of a Supernatural First Cause of the material universe, you automatically deify ‘matter’. You are compelled to believe the preposterous notion that matter not only created itself, but also its own natural laws, information, the potential for life, and all the other qualities which now exist in the universe, from absolute nothing. So atheists have to worship ‘MATTER’ as an all powerful god, there is no other option. Please keep this in mind, when you answer the question.
So are atheists fools? I think the answer is obvious.

Shame on the ancient folks for using the good news of salvation and turning it into what we know as Christianity today. They used it to rule over men. From that many atrocities occurred. Many false doctrines and theologies were set in stone... Shame shame shame... They did in a few hundred what the Pharisees did by Jesus' time. What would the Messiah say about that today?

I ask because I see more and more pretty fundamental Christians convinced science is a lie and preach fire and brimestone turning a lot of people off completly to Christianity. Stats show people are leaving Christianity is record numbers for other faith (Islam, Paganism and I know its not a faith but Atheism) I know the US is mostly christian but the rest of the world isn't. Are they self destructing?

I mean, there is evidence of a radioactive substance stored under thousands of layered rock that REALLY SUPPORTS the Big Bang Theoory. Also, the skeleton of "Lucy", the Australopithicine. ( I KNOW I didn't spell that right)

Isn't that pretty heavy proof?

Now, this is just me being me, voicing my heavy opinion, and the people reading this, yes of course, you can give your opinion too, but lets not get nasty, okay?

For example, God knew he could not marry Mary and raise Jesus. So he gave up his only son to be raised by another man.

I always thought that men who give up their children do not deserve the title of Father. However I could be wrong.

thoughts?
