For my belief... the power of prayer is not just in the prayer, but in God who is prayed to. And so yes, the prayers are beneficial for her.
I am sure like you that Debra and her family believe that God answered prayers made in her behalf.

Thank you for asking this question in such a sensitive manner.

Wow. Yahoo - you SUCK. The one thing that unites all on this forum, and Yahoo deletes it.... I cant imagine why they would remove those questions/requests... even though Im an atheist and do not pray and do not even beleive in prayer, even I wouldnt be so heartless as to report that question - Debra M is a great woman, and an integral part of this forum. I say we ALL write to Yahoo and complain. (Not that it would be worth much...they make the rules, and a prayer request IS against TOS...)

Yes, definitely. Everybody here agrees that Debra is a person of excellence. She believes in the power of prayer, as her husband may now. Atheists, remember that when you start your name-calling and hostilities against people of faith.

the love and support coming from other people in waves? absolutely. But I don't necessarily believe that it was praying to God itself. But I don't really believe in prayer.

I believe that God is happy when we love and care one another. Prayers make the difference. : )

No. It's just a coincidence - another occurance that is allowing people to turn it into false evidence for their faith.
