I think there's a certain level of reason that some Christians do not have. You won't win people over by screaming "I'm right and damn anyone who does not believe me." Also, the hateful speech towards homosexual people and people of other faiths (Muslims) goes against everything Christ taught.
There are some very progressive, very logical and very reasonable Christians who I can actually sit down and talk to about the more controversial parts of the faith without them getting upset.
This is not the case with a majority of Christians and it's unfortunate because it's those who are spoiling it for the entire religion.
I'm agnostic (or an atheist, whatever you want to call it) partly because of these reasons. I have no ill will in my heart towards anyone group of people regardless of who they are. Ironically, I couldn't say the same for most of my Christian peers.

Nope, Christianity is fine. Religion and sin are the problems. I know of no Christian who thinks science is a lie. Also, what stats show people are leaving Christianity is record numbers for other faith?

this question is an attack upon Christianity. and there is no gay gene. Claiming that sin is a "genetic abnormality" is incorrect. Sin is sin. there is absolute actuality. there is absolute desirable and absolute incorrect. God set the criteria for desirable and incorrect. And we are interior the incorrect if, by our very own insurrection, we try to make issues ok that God mentioned weren't. And there are a number of fake Christians who've offered into the lies. They approve issues that are against the want of God. they have offered right into a "damnable heresy" talked approximately as the "regulation of attraction", wherein they decrease God all the way down to a stress and advance themselves into gods, so as that they are able to get there very own way. And if some thing is going of their prefer, they think of it somewhat is their newfound " faith" (which somewhat isn't faith in any respect). people who're prosperous get their way using fact anybody provides it to them on a silver platter. people who're unfavourable continuously get the fast end of the stick using fact all of us hates them. It has no longer something to do with the regulation of attraction.

Nah. Jesus Christ always refreshes churches when they start losing it. Christianity has that advantage. The Western churches do look a bit half-hearted like the Laodicean church in Revelation currently.
There does seem a lot of political christianity in the US from over in the UK, which is peculiar as we see things, in that forcing one's agenda on the whole nation through politics doesn't seem very christian to us.

I wouldn't really call it 'self destructing' but I think their mindset isn't sustainable in this day and age, with so much exposure to other ideas, and the increase in social acceptance of differing viewpoints. What was once scandelous is now just odd.
Some may be reacting with stronger language, but I think a lot of people are starting to think better of it.
Maybe it's not Christianity itself, but maybe people are thinking better of God these days than they used to.

I would not say Christians are "self destructing". As for "hell fire and brimstone", that's in the Bible. We, as Christians, are to tell people about hell, as well as the Plan of Salvation and Heaven. I am thankful I haven't been turned off of Christianity. I think more people are turning to Christ, than turning away from Him. Look at how many accept Him at places like the Harvest Crusade held each year in Anaheim, Ca.

Well, its not like science has a perfect track record.
'Draw your graph, then fit the data'
There are problems with individual believers, churches and with Christianity. But the problem is with the people, not with the Master. He is the fixer.
'Stats show...' which stats?

It is only self destruction to the lusts of our flesh. We die to the flesh lusts daily.
We make the soul choices to follow after the fruits of the Spirit; faith, hope, love, joy, peace, patience, honesty, truth, etc...
The Lord tells me that many are being saved by believing in Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God, today.

American culture may be collapsing, but Christianity is here to stay, sweetheart.
