Ok. They come around here 4-5 times a year at my home. I always decline them. He comes up to me telling me "money is the root of all evil." I told him people work very hard for their money. Then he still persists with his preaching sadly, and I tell him to get off my property, because he is shoving religion down my throat.

I am a proud Catholic and never would I shove religion or grace someone's doorstep and try to convert them.

Is there anything wrong with using the left hand?
How did we end up using the right hand only?

This is a sensative topic (religion) so why in the world would you not expect to see questions and answers parodying your religion? Even if they border on the obscene they're still fun. We could goodie goodie two shoes and post good questions and answers but what fun would that be? I know that most of my questions aren't funny but people like Q,Balaam's Talking Donkey,Gazoo and such are.

The main question is "Why is it that other Atheists get so mad at other atheists that just want to have fun?"

I'm concerned that those prayer requests from her "husband" was really the troll that wished her dead yesterday. Does anyone recall those hateful messages to her? I pray she really IS okay but I have this funny feeling someone is playing a sick joke.

My county school board approved new lessons on sexual orientation for use in middle schools and high school, introducing homosexuality and gender ID in health classes where they have not been discussed. Along with that they get to view a DVD on the correct use of a condom.

It is claimed that much of the nation is moving toward an abstinence-only approach to sex education to emphasize the advantage of confining sex to marriage. But the school system liberals are heading in the opposite direction, teaching more about sexual orientation as well as contraception. The lessons were rewritten, tightly scripted, screened by lawyers and TRIMMED OF ALL RELIGIOUS CONTENT. They favor the view that homosexuality is socially and morally acceptable and will introduce cautionary topics as the dangers of ****sex and to challenge the notion that sexual orientation is inborn.

This question is for Muslims and non-muslims....what do you think? Should Muslims have their own communities basically separated from everyone else? Muslims aren't against electricity and stuff so it would be different...more modern...but still separate...except for tourists of course (just like the Amish)!

What do you think?

Do you religious followers out there not find it odd that the bible was written within the limitations of human knowledge at this period of time? Surely if the bible was the word of jesus or god it would have predicted modern day technology?
Personally i believe this is a clear indication of political leaders discovering a way to force people to do as they say. Its the most common psychological manipulation, you get punished if you don not follow me (hell) or you are rewarded if you do follow me (heaven).
Its perfect in the sense nobody can disprove these ideas because reward or punishment happens after death, rather convenient wouldn't you say?

Robert Morey of Truth Seekers claims Allah was a Moon God but he has no proof. The word "Allah" has been used all along for the name of "God" in the Arabic Bible for Jews and Christians alike. The proof is easy to verify; simple go to any hotel or motel on the earth and look in the drawer next to the bed and take out the complimentary Bible, placed there by the Giddeons and then look on page 5 or 6 where they list the examples of translations they have made into other languages. 2nd example given is for Arabic speakers. The verse is from the Gospel of John, chapter 3, verse 16. Everyone knows this one; "For God so loved the world..." and the word in Arabic for "God" is "Allah." Then if you have a Bible in Arabic, look on page one in Genesis, and you will find the word "Allah" fourteen times.

This is a question which has perplexed me.
Man evolved from ape, ape evolved from bacteria ect.
Where did the universe come from, how was it made?
Quite simple where did everything begin?
This is the only logical arguement for believing in a creator whether you call the creator god or not, personally i don't believe it the hypocracies of religion.

i have catholic friends who think praying to other gods is ok..

ACTUALLY about ten of them think it is ok.

they feel that

1. God is manifested in different religions.
2. God can forgive us even if we pray to other gods.

"I am the LORD your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of slavery. You shall have no other gods before Me..." - the first commandment.

do these ten catholic friends of mine represent the catholic church stand? do MOST catholics think the same way?

This article is about a politician using a tactic to get more power in politics by making out that Christians are being oppressed by secularism and liberals. The Nazis came to power before WW2 by doing something similar; they somehow managed to convince the German people that they were being oppressed by a minority of Jews and gypsies. Surely the Christians wouldn’t fall for this tactic like the German people did? How can they possibly be convinced that they, the something like 90% majority, are the ones being oppressed when they themselves are the oppressors?

God spoke to people pretty frequently back in the Bible so why did He all of the sudden stop communicating with us? And here in America I feel like He has sort of given up, like things have gotten so out of order from how He wanted it to be that He just doesnt know what to do with us. In other countries, like Africa, He has provided them with the neccesities and they are happy with that, yet we have more than we could ever need and we still arent happy with that. Whats going on?

One night in a church service a young woman felt the tug of God at her heart. She responded to God's call and accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior. The young woman had a very rough past, involving alcohol, drugs, and prostitution. But, the change in her was evident. As time went on she became a faithful member of the church. She eventually became involved in the ministry, teaching young children. It was not very long until this faithful young woman had caught the eye and heart of the pastor's son. The relationship grew and they began to make wedding plans. This is when the problems began. You see, about one half of the church did not think that a woman with a past such as hers was suitable for a pastor's son. The church began to argue and fight about the matter. So they decided to have a meeting. As the people made their arguments and tensions increased, the meeting was getting completely out of hand. The young woman became very upset about all the things being brought up about her past. As she began to cry the pastor's son stood to speak. He could not bear the pain it was causing his wife to be. He began to speak and his statement was this: "My fiancée’s past is not what is on trial here. What you are questioning is the ability of the blood of Jesus to wash away sin. Today you have put the blood of Jesus on trial. So, does it wash away sin or not?" The whole church began to weep as they realized that they had been slandering the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. Too often, even as Christians, we bring up the past and use it as a weapon against our brothers and sisters. Forgiveness is a very foundational part of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. If the blood of Jesus does not cleanse the other person completely then it cannot cleanse us completely. If that is the case, then we are all in a lot of trouble. What can wash away my sins? Nothing but the blood of Jesus! End of case!!!! "Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved." Psalm 55:23
