God spoke to people pretty frequently back in the Bible so why did He all of the sudden stop communicating with us? And here in America I feel like He has sort of given up, like things have gotten so out of order from how He wanted it to be that He just doesnt know what to do with us. In other countries, like Africa, He has provided them with the neccesities and they are happy with that, yet we have more than we could ever need and we still arent happy with that. Whats going on?

Kelida I believe God still speaks to his people. You are so right on about Africa, these people just have strong faith and hearts after God.They experience the voice and miracles of God daily, because they are not caught up in the things of this world.Just ask God to speak to you personally he will, that is what he wants to do in our lives.Be blessed and loved

If you study the 14 covenants that God made with His people, you will see that God told them His rules and that He would give them and their descendents blessings or punishments. His people would have faith and obey and God would bless them and walk & talk with them. Then after several years they would forget about God and do things for themselves and strayed away from God and then God punished them and left them alone. After time they missed God and asked for forgiveness and seeked God again. They had faith again and God blessed them and they lived well and then they strayed and God punished and the cycle kept going. It's still going today. America (and other countries) have strayed from God and we are being ignored and punished. God has given up on mankind but He is pissed off and His wrath is showing. If you and others want to see God then maybe you should all have the faith.

Africa has many Christians but millions die of AIDS and starvation every year. Do you think God is there as well?

God only spoke to select people in the bible every once in a while, but he answered everyone's prayers everyday. He still does. I would say that wherever he went, he's doing something very important (like saving a planet in another galaxy from evil demons with problems far worse than we can ever imagine) but when he returns he just might have a few things to say.

the Bible says it this way "The fool hath said in his heart there is no God"...

A country that tries to eliminate God from everything will ultimately lose its freedoms unless it humbles itself, repents, and turns back to God who founded the country in the first place.

If I were God, I would have given up thousands of years ago, but He hasn't given up. He sent His Son Jesus 2000 years ago to die for the mistakes of the world. All America has to do is trust Him as its Lord and Savior and He will offer forgiveness for mistakes and grace to guide for the future. You and I, cannot change the future, until we trust God in the present. God is not dead, He is alive! He can live inside of you via the Holy Spirit when you accept Him into your heart and life. Just ask God to come into your heart if you haven't already...you can do this between God and yourself. Tell him your sorry for the way you've lived...and you want a fresh start...a new outlook on life. He will give that to you if you pray in faith :) Hope that helps!

Complacency and apathy and "no need" for God - man i'd head off somewhere else too. Pride and greed are big problems in North America too. These are major barriers to really connecting to God. But thakfully there are provisions for such situations which will teach us - lets hope we wise up before things get way way too good we forget all about him. Pride never allows that though. It will all fall down, or he'll have to intervene somehow and then we'll see His kindness once again...

I am please to inform you that it is not God's fault why the world has gone mad it's mans fault. God gave us free will so we can make our own choices but man has chosen to do the wrong thing for many different reason most for financial gain and power. but God hasn't abandon us for those of us who seek him he is always there to listen and to help us, and in doing that he helps us help other people who think his presence his fading to realize that he is still there and that he still loves us. kind of like I am doing now with you. and a great testimony to this is what's going on today in American media. the Paris Hilton case we all know she is a party goer and has sin countless times but when her sin full ways drove her into damnation she came running back to God for help. Because we all know God his here watching over us but we choose not to acknowledge him and continue to sin until we find ourselves in a bind and the first thing we do is call on him. The reason most of us ain't happy with what we have is because of greed and the American media portraying a life style that we should all aspire for but some of use are okay with what we have and see the value in giving to people less fortunate than ourselves. good luck and don't lose hope. God bless.

God is a gentlemen...when He is asked to leave, He will.

I really believe that is the reason for the bad things that have been excelling...

People kept asking why God did that to New Orleans...I do not think that is was His doing, but the lack of His presence. When His Spirit is removed, destruction ensues.

We continually remove Him from every aspect of our lives, and then when things start to go wrong, we wonder where He is....

God still speaks to His people. One must have ears to hear. Most of all, He speaks to us through His written word, which is the bible. He speaks to us through prayer. He reveals His word and truth to hearts, if we only listen.

He will not give up on America. There are millions of born again, on their knees, praying Christians interceding for this country all the time. Please know that His hand is upon us He hears us.

He still speaks today. It's just that few people have ears that hear. And God will not abide where there is unconfessed sin. So, when you clean out your life, you will hear from God more times than not. Not in an audible voice, but through His Word.

Kelida, maybe you aren't listening. I know of many people who seek the Lord today and are getting answers to prayer. Many seek his guidance and receive it.

God has always allowed people time to rebel; at some point, he speaks to them and warns them to repent. In America, there is a pretty consistent call to repentance, but the "worldly" folks aren't listening.

So, Judgement's coming, unless they wise up.
