see im christian but i dont go to church every sunday. and i believe in christ 99%. i have been trying to get myself to believe.does that mean i will got to he**? i want to believe though? how can i believe?

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding." Ask God to fill you with the strength and courage to trust him and to have faith in him. Find a pastor or a strong Christian friend that will help you grow in your relationship with Christ and who will help you see how Jesus is at work in your life. Listen to some testimonies--not only the ones about a pivotal life-changing moment, but also the ones about a gradual understanding of how great the love of God is to send his one and only Son as a sacrifice for your own sins. Read some of the prophecies of the Old Testament and see how they are fulfilled by Jesus (you can even do this by reading the Gospel, because often the writers actually point out when he fulfills a prophecy). God will not send you to hell for desiring with your whole heart to know the Truth. I can assure you that he is rejoicing that you are seeking him. Ask for him to help you cast away your doubt and enter into a new life of joy and peace and love in the Lord Jesus Christ. Studying the Bible and praying is essential, and I will continue to pray for you.

You already believe. Does your church baptise people? Mine does after baptism I felt alot closer to God.
Things to strengthen your faith: (That is what it sounds like you want)
Read his word: bible
Make an effort to help people
Tell others about God
Pray more than just at night- pray whenever there is a moment
Meet other christians
Listen to christian lyrics
Read books about topics christians face
Best tip: Pray that God will strengthen your faith !
That is my best advice, you are in my prayers.
( What denomination are you? I was wondering, I am Church of Christ which isn't really considered a denom at all)

Not every Christian goes to church every SUnday, and not all of us have faith 100% of the time. Focus on what you do have, and try to strengthen the relationship you have. The only way to strengthen an old friendship, is to build on what you have.
Talk to friends, pastors, or pray.

You say you are a Christian, to be a Christian, you must ...Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Stop paying attention to what these unbelievers say here on this site. Here is acouple of verses-- Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.--
My peace I give unto you. Let not your heart be troubled. neither let it be afraid.

No that does not mean you are going to hell, but it means that you need to get closer, because the bible says "whenever two or three are gathered in his name he is there, he is there".... I will urge you to go to church because it is the devil plans (bad thoughts) to prevent you from going to church. Also, when you go to church you also get involve so it is more than just going praying but it is also the social life with the people. yOU SHOULD go because the Lord will see that you are really interested in his teachings and will bless you.

I'm not religous but, you shouldn't have to go to church every sunday otherwise it is a contradiction to what the church leaders have been saying.....That god will har your prayers any where. You should be able to worship/prayer or whatever you do at home.

fellow christian our Lord is all power ful you must ask him to help your faith if you truly believe in him that he died on the cross and for you and have aked him in prayer and ackowolded this then you are saved but this lack of faith is causing doubt i once experianced this to combat this you must read the bible often and have devoutions(periods of time in the day devouted to pure reading the bible and prayer) this will give you guidance also speaking with a pastor will help go to church this will help a great deal.

the best way I find to believe is to surround yourself with people that also believes. This may require you going to church more often to find these people or you can have a bible study group. in general I believe you must interact with more people that believe because the way the world is today it his easy not to believe in God because but surrounding yourself with true believers will reinforce your belief.

you can start by going to church. you don't have to go to every thing, you know just stay involved. ask maybe someone in the church for guidance and help. also if you know some one else that is very religious, ask for help. i think it would help more if you asked and talk to someone in person than to strangers online for this kind of topic.
