I do I do! There are several of us who accept you no matter what you believe.. our tenet is that if it's right for you, then it's right.
Welcome!

Excellent question! Unfortunately I will have to answer honestly. I do not feel acceptance, but bitterness toward religion and all the damage it does. I think the teachings of Jesus are great, but so many self professed Christians really have no idea what they are. I have read the bible, and what Jesus said has little in common with the current christian culture of exclusion, (they should try reading it, new testament only).
Of course I am a hypocrite, but my heart does go out to the meek, but not the haters, I guess I need to work on that.
Thanks for making me take a look at myself.

Do you mean is there any PERSON out there who accepts you or do you mean any RELIGION?
The only time(s) I've rejected someone based on their religion is when it was a religion that was based spreading hate of the non-believer. I've encountered this in a wide variety of people, so it wasn't the actual religion that made me back away from the person, but rather their intepretation of it.
Other than that I accept pretty much anyone's beliefs. Personally I believe in pretty much everything. I believe that Jesus was real and probably a very nice guy, but I also believe that the Greek gods were/are real, etc etc.
The bottomline is, choose whichever religion resosnates most with you and be a good person to others and you'll be fine.

I have been answering questions for the last hour and I cannot believe some of the jerks on this site and the audacity they have in what they say. To give you some ease, I will tell you that although I am not god fearing, I believe that there is a higher power bigger than any of us. I believe that everyone should believe in something greater than them to humble them, make them a better person and give us something to live for. I don't believe we just appeared on earth and I do believe that those that have high religious beliefs should not force them on to those that do not. To each his own, but I believe most of all that everyone should love thy neighbor and live honestly, lovingly, like everyone the come into contact with is someone they may love one day. Treat others how you want to be treated. Admit when you're wrong and make it right. Help those who are helpless and do for the unfortunate. I work in charity care committees that provide financial aide for low income families, things like that. Give back and know that no matter how little or how bad you have it, someone else has it worse. Does that help you?

I'm not sure it's possible to accept everyone regardless of religion. Many people try to be open minded, but eventually, you'll run into someone whose religious beliefs are so diametrically opposed to what you think is morally right that you'll reject them and their belief system. The real question is how you handle your rejection of what they think. Do you listen carefully and learn what you can from their views? Do you react violently? Do you attack them with words or try to make them feel uncomfortable in a space that should be theirs to share?
I don't think there can be anyone who truly accepts everyone else's belief systems, but we can all strive to moderate our own behavior so that we don't overreact when we disagree.

IDK what I believe anymore. Whose to say? Noone can really say... I was raised as a Baptist and I still claim that I am, yet...I don't fully believe Jesus was God's son...I mean out of everyone in the world God was just like....Mary was the only one? I seriously doubt that, though that is just what I believe...have you ever played telephone b4? You whisper something in someone's ear and it goes around the circle, by the time it comes back its something almost completely different? I think there might be some truths to the bible....I just think someone changed it around from misconception. Like I said, I don't believe Im Christian no more....there are just too many questions people cant answer...well...that's like history too, I guess....IDK, religion is a touchy subject for most, but I think religious people should lighten up. Seriously. Also I think gay marriage is ok, and religious people be havin a fit. I think them kind of people should get a grip!

There is no such thing as "total acceptance." I agree with you about reading so much bitterness, but attribute the bitterness to their personal problems & not a closeness with God or in a belief system. I am a Christian, but not perfect. I strive to be Christ like but sure miss being like Him many times a day. God's Word is the best way to learn about Him & try to please Him. He is forgiving, but has guidelines to strive for. I am a work in progress & hope you decide to follow.

Unitarians are noted for accepting all humans - beliefs or no.
Our moral values are based on the inherent worth and dignity of every person. We have no dogma that you 'must' believe in and think all paths are valid. We think all people should have equal rights and we do not support wars.
We are not Christians in that we do not believe in the trinity but in one God. We do not believe in hell. We do accept members who believe differently however :)

I accept you, even if I may not agree with you.
One aspect of what I believe is goodness.
The bitterness which you experienced is unfortunate
and a small percentage.
Focus on the good and ignore the rude.
I live morally, and try to understand my fellowperson.

I accept anyone's right to believe as they choose, according to their own spritual path. I'm a Unitarian Universalist. We usually don't evangelize, but since you asked, I'll tell you the short version.
The seven principles UU's promote are:
*The inherent worth and dignity of every person;
*Justice, equity and compassion in human relations;
*Acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth in our congregations;
*A free and responsible search for truth and meaning;
*The right of conscience and the use of the democratic process within our congregations and in society at large;
*The goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all;
*Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part.
There are UU Christians, UU Buddhists, UU Pagans, UU atheists, and UU just-about-anything-else. Most UU's are very open and welcoming, accepting people from all walks of life. All races, religions, sexual orientations and family statuses are accepted and welcome. They are united in the ongoing search for personal spiritual truth, while accepting the rights of others to differ in their personal searches.
For more info, try http://www.uua.org and try a congregation in your area.

Unfortunately, there is not total acceptance or tolerance here....but, if you stick around you'll be able to figure out who is this way and who is not based on their Q&A's. I'm one of the ones that would accept you, regardless of your belief system (unless you wanted to hurt people)! :-) Welcome.
Peace, Love, and Blessings
