One night in a church service a young woman felt the tug of God at her heart. She responded to God's call and accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior. The young woman had a very rough past, involving alcohol, drugs, and prostitution. But, the change in her was evident. As time went on she became a faithful member of the church. She eventually became involved in the ministry, teaching young children. It was not very long until this faithful young woman had caught the eye and heart of the pastor's son. The relationship grew and they began to make wedding plans. This is when the problems began. You see, about one half of the church did not think that a woman with a past such as hers was suitable for a pastor's son. The church began to argue and fight about the matter. So they decided to have a meeting. As the people made their arguments and tensions increased, the meeting was getting completely out of hand. The young woman became very upset about all the things being brought up about her past. As she began to cry the pastor's son stood to speak. He could not bear the pain it was causing his wife to be. He began to speak and his statement was this: "My fiancée’s past is not what is on trial here. What you are questioning is the ability of the blood of Jesus to wash away sin. Today you have put the blood of Jesus on trial. So, does it wash away sin or not?" The whole church began to weep as they realized that they had been slandering the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. Too often, even as Christians, we bring up the past and use it as a weapon against our brothers and sisters. Forgiveness is a very foundational part of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. If the blood of Jesus does not cleanse the other person completely then it cannot cleanse us completely. If that is the case, then we are all in a lot of trouble. What can wash away my sins? Nothing but the blood of Jesus! End of case!!!! "Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved." Psalm 55:23

We humans are capable of doing two things that God is incapable of doing.
1. We SIN!!, God cannot.
2. We can remember others sins, God cannot.
That being said, the church mentioned should all get on their knees and repent for judging a fellow member of the church of the Lord Jesus Christ. There is a misconception in the Christian and secular communities. God says we are not to judge fellow Christians. However, God says we will JUDGE the nations and the angels.

But we must remember that we should not do anything if we cannot do it with love. I am glad to see that the preachers son stood up for his Lord and his fiance. Good for him. God says He will cast our sins into the sea of forgetfulness.

THANK GOD FOR THE BLOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

many examples of Jesus saying this - the woman at the well - he called her on it and forgave her. she was changed...the woman caught in adultery he said to not cast a stone at her...the past is the past in God's eyes - forgotten, erased. But there probably is lots of healing that needs to be done since though. And thank the Lord he brought them together to live it out together. Blessings

it somewhat is frightening using fact none people are sinless. no be counted how complicated we attempt we can't in any respect stay thoroughly sinless lives and if we've been to be judged by the in many situations happening at which we decide others there could be no Salvation in any respect. it somewhat is the reason the Grace of God is so desirable in His sacrifice for us that in case you in straightforward terms settle for Jesus Christ, he would be your recommend on the time of judgment and you'd be saved. yet a actual love for and concept in Christ exhibits on your works as properly - you reside a extra valuable existence, closer to that which the Lord needs you to stay. yet as I mentioned earlier - we are actually not desirable.

A meeting about who was 'worthy' to marry the pastor's son? Is controlling other people's lives that important to them?

sounds like they forgot to practice what they preached. Its too bad alot of church folks are like this. Its the end times and the bible warns us about this very thing. People will and can let you down, always trust in God, and the power of the blood.

Oh I love what you just said there. That is so awesome. When a person is saved, they are saved indeed, and you can and should be able to see the change in their life. Love the story, thank you.
