Ok. They come around here 4-5 times a year at my home. I always decline them. He comes up to me telling me "money is the root of all evil." I told him people work very hard for their money. Then he still persists with his preaching sadly, and I tell him to get off my property, because he is shoving religion down my throat.

I am a proud Catholic and never would I shove religion or grace someone's doorstep and try to convert them.

It really saddens me that they have to go to people's homes who are busy, working, or just tending to their own landscaping or own home. I assume they just look for trouble. It's sad.

I pray for everyone. Only God knows who is with Him or for Him, and his abode after he dies.

The love of money is the root of all evil. (Timothy, 6:10.) Money is inanimate and can do nothing without the aid of man. The love of money is called greed. Greed is the root of all evil. Bounce that off your JW friend next time he calls.

I very seriously doubt what you say is true. Jehovah's Witnesses all know "money is the root of all evil" is something we would never say. It is the LOVE of money. We would never stay where we are not wanted. There are too many other people to contact to waste the time.

We follow Jesus command to "preach the good news of the kingdom to all the inhabited earth for a witness." Notice it did not say we had to convert everyone, only giving them a CHANCE to hear.

Jehova=God
God=no knocking on your door because he's GOD....
If it was GOD then we wouldn't be here right now (or at least the Christians wouldn't) because we would be in Heaven cuz of the Rapture

If Jehovah himself knocked on your door physically, you would not be alive asking us this question because some form of punishment would be coming in your direction. When Jehovah God acts, he ACTS! Sodom and Gomorrah, The Flood, Red Sea. When Jehovah God acts, everyone will be affected, as the case back in the situations that were indicated above.

Noah was a preacher of righteousness for over 100 years. There were those who had differing opinions, as you do. Still, he kept going back, hoping people would come to know Jehovah and to be saved from that Flood that was to come. When the Flood came, that was when Jehovah closed the door to the Ark when those who refused Noah’s message listened. By then, it was too late. They knocked outside the ark wanting to come in. Do you know what happened? They all drowned and died in the flood for not accepting Noah’s message and warning. They had over 100 years notice and still did not listen.

Today, when warnings (hours, days, weeks, months in advance) are given of an impending storm, hurricane, many do not heed those warnings and as a result lost their lives because of not listening to the message and warning.

That is why Jehovah’s Witnesses preach the good news. Those who did not want to listen and accept our message is their business. We do not convert people when we are at the doors. We are preaching about God’s coming Kingdom, just as Noah did. Those who did not want the good news will be dealt with accordingly to Jehovah God.

Romans 14:12: “So, then, each of us will render an account for himself to God.”

Hebrews 10:31: “It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of [the] living God.”

Preaching the good news is a commandment from God.

Matthew 24:14: “And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.”

Mark 13:10: “Also, in all the nations the good news has to be preached first.”

Yes, in ALL the nations, the good news must be preached. In ALL the inhabited earth, Jehovah’s Witnesses knock on doors in 236 lands. While I am knocking, our brothers and sisters across the world are sleeping. And when I go to sleep, those friends are preaching. It is a 24-hour/7-day per week activity.

Did you know that Jesus Christ also preached the good news? Luke 13:22, 26 says how Jesus “journeyed through from city to city and from village to village, teaching and continuing on his journey to Jerusalem.” “And you taught in our broad ways.”

Regarding the house-to-house ministry of Christ and his apostles the divine record states: “Shortly afterwards he went journeying from city to city and from village to village, preaching and declaring the good news of the kingdom of God. And the twelve were with him.” (Luke 8:1) Of the apostles, the record further states: “Every day in the temple and from house to house they continued without letup teaching and declaring the good news about the Christ, Jesus.” (Acts 5:42) Paul himself said: “I did not hold back from telling you any of the things that were profitable nor from teaching you publicly and from house to house.” (Acts 20:20)

When you have good news, wouldn’t you want to share it with others? It is similar with us. We do not preach the blues. This is good news that we have and we show love for our neighbors by doing this.

House-to-house preaching is a Christlike and apostolic method of declaring the good news thoroughly. How long has it been since your minister has gone from house to house so men might “hear” the message of the Kingdom? Indeed, has he ever copied this method established by Jesus and followed by the apostles? If Jesus viewed this work as important, shouldn’t those who believe in Jesus be doing this work also? How can those who believe in Jesus say that they do when they do not even do what he did the majority of the time while he was on earth, which was to preach?

Jesus left all of us a model that we should follow closely. (1 Peter 2:21)

Back in 31-32 C.E., Jesus instructed his disciples: “Into whatever city or village you enter, search out who in it is deserving.” (Matthew 10:11) Not all individuals were deserving, as shown by their reaction to the Kingdom message. Nevertheless, Jesus’ disciples zealously preached the good news wherever people happened to be.

If we do not preach the good news of God’s Kingdom, we could be accused by Jehovah God as blood guilty ones. Here is proof.

Acts 20:26, 27: “Hence I call YOU to witness this very day that I am clean from the blood of all men, for I have not held back from telling YOU all the counsel of God.”

The Christian Greek Scriptures outline three distinct ways in which a Christian could become bloodguilty before God: (1) by bloodshed, murder—this would include those actively or tacitly supporting the activities of a bloodguilty organization (such as Babylon the Great [Revelation 17:6; 18:2, 4] or other organizations that have shed much innocent blood [Revelation 16:5, 6; compare Isaiah 26:20, 21]); (2) by eating or drinking blood in any way (Acts 15:20); and (3) by FAILING to preach the good news of the Kingdom, thereby withholding the lifesaving information it contains. (Acts 18:6; 20:26, 27; compare Ezekiel 33:6-8).

If we have free will and God holds us accountable for what we do, then we have to use our short life to take in accurate knowledge about God and his purposes and learn to live our lives the way he wants us to. This becomes the personal responsibility of every living human. No one else can serve God on our behalf. One is reminded of a Turkish proverb, “Each mutton is hung by its own leg.” That is, each one must answer for his own misdeeds.

Thanks,
