Define "best". Best for you? Best for me? Best adheres to the teachings of Jesus and His apostles?

I personally think that the Catholic and Orthodox Churches are the best, since they have valid apostolic succession (can trace their bishops back to the apostles) and believe that the bread and wine in Holy Communion become the Body and Blood of Christ.

Roman Catholicism! It is the original and first Christian faith, because it was established by CHrist himself on St. Peter (the first Pope) 2000 years ago! All other christian denominations are less tahn 500 years old, because they have seperated themsevles from the one true faith of Catholicsim! No other Christian faith has the authority to teach the truth of the Bible except the Catholic Church. It is united worldwide because it has the Pope and Bishops to guide the faith through the Holy Spirit. God bless. email me if you want to know more!

The best "Christianity" is the kind that concentrates on becoming the most loving, compassionate, Christ-like person one can be and allows other people to be themselves. The best Christians "preach" solely by example, allowing their radically Christian activities to compel dialog with unbelievers, rather than attempting to proselytize with sermons. When they speak, it is on behalf of peace and justice, not credalism. They live the values of Christ rather than spouting dead "laws" and pious, useless cliches from "scripture". They don't try to impress God with clever prayers, or people with the extent of their knowledge of Bible trivia. They prefer to help lift other people's burdens rather than add to them with inexplicable rules that only seem to apply to those who have the fewest resources to obey them. They confront the rich and powerful on behalf of the poor and helpless, without regard to their own safety or status. And they waste no time worrying about their retirement, their net worth or their afterlife.

Why? Because it's hard, and that's what Jesus said it would be. If you're asking me to specify a denomination, I don't see one that isn't compromised by an institutional drive to self-preservation. Jesus didn't have that. He didn't hold back. Why do we?

The ones who believe all the good parts of the bible and ignore all the bad bits. As crazy as it sounds it is actually entertaining and funny.

My girlfriend being the case in point.

One where its members actually practice what they preach instead of demanding that everyone ELSE do so. One where money given to their charity is actually used for charity and not to fill middlemen's pockets. One where the members actually accept people from other faiths (or even nonbelievers) as human beings instead of branding them as "satanic".

Good luck finding one like that.

Christianity of joy with a passion for reaching the lost rather than infighting and finding faults with others.

gnostic christianity. At least it reconciles the differences between the god of the old testament and the completly different message that jesus brought.

There is only one Christ and the ones who follow his teachings are Christians. God did not create denominations.
It is man's lack of spiritual understanding that causes divisions.

There is no type. Either you follow Jesus commandments and are a Christian or you don't.
