I mean Jesus promised salvation to those who accept him, well this is what all these christians tell me, and they also say that bad deeds or good deeds don't affect your judgement, so that means it's possible for any horrible person to get to heaven because of their belief.

If there was no devine intervention then wouldn't monkeys be the closest animal to a man. Some of us are big like gorillias, and some are like chimpanzees. Just wondering what which you are more alike.

"If a robot were to drop the same die from the same height on the same spot with the same sides facing the same way 100 times in a vacuum, the die would land on a different number each time."

This is a quote from someone responding to a question. Is it EXPERIMENTALLY accurate?

My favorite city in all the world is Paris, and at every opportunity, I go there. If it is Heaven you dream about, that you hope for, why not get along there now, why live on amongst all the evil around you? Could it be that you really aren't altogether certain that such a thing as Heaven, or Hell, exists? Across nearly all of my years on this little blue rock I have not believed in Hell or Heaven or the Easter Bunny, and I relish my rich and unendingly awarding life. But so many devout Christians keep in their satchel of gods and demons and ghosts constant assurance that in Heaven their miserable lives will be swell and sweet and, though each one of them is merely one of the billions of human creatures, a seat next to God. I would beg you to live on, to remain among us till your clock ticks your goodbye, but, truly, the Heaven-thing is a puzzle to me. If it were Paris, and if I were not on tour across North America, I would shag my youknowwhat to JFK by afternoon.

Why can't you answer any of our (Athiest-Agnostic) questions, you know, the ones that point out the fallicies in your religion and in the bible, without using "god said" or "the bible said" in your answer?

for example:
Why doesn't god prove he exists?
Because god said you need faith.

etc etc.
it gets tiring. at least us athiests will think about your question, and give a well thought out, intelligent answer.

why can't you guys give us the same courtesy?

Hello all! I pray that you are doing well today. I have some questions for you today that I hope will get you to think deeply and if your relationship with God is suffering to maybe help you to get that back on track. You do not have to post your answers, you may feel that they are too personal.
1. WHO IS YOUR GOD?
2. HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE HIM? ( we all describe God in different ways)
3. WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO YOU THAT GOD IS WHAT YOU THINK THAT HE IS?
4.WHAT WOULD IT MEAN FOR YOU TO KNOW GOD AS HE REALLY IS? it is the difference between life and death, between life and abundant life. Knowing God is knowing the difference between: rest and turmoil, victory and defeat. Finding a refuge, or living as a fugitive.
Dear friends, consider this:
Every problems root: 1. An incorrect knowledge of God. 2. A lack of trust about who God says that He is.
" The people who know their God will display strength and take action" Daniel 11:32

Why not make an appearance every now and them? Then the pretty much the whole planet would know they were real, and we'd be pretty peaceful. Why let all the wars and death go on when it could be fixed by a simple appearance? Don't say "you must have faith" because that doesn't answer the question. If a god were real, why would you need to have faith when you could have proof?

or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom. Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.

(Genesis 6:7) and he said, "I'll destroy every living creature on earth! I'll wipe out people, animals, birds, and reptiles. I'm sorry I ever made them." (CEV)

Do you believe that it was religion that first made you question the existence of a supreme deity? If you had been taught that there was a loving creator who did not have any strings attached, like obedience, judgment, and punishment, would you have ever questioned His existence?

Or do you think that no matter what you were told as a child you would have always questioned the possibility of a supreme being because it is illogical?

This Question is for everyone, but i'm very curious to see how Christians Answer.

In the Bible God states that he is a Jealous God, it also states that Jealousy is a Sin. Does that make God a Hypocrite?

prophecing when Jesus will return?.Jesus said in the last days there will be many false prophets decieving many. Just check out the heaven is so real website there is this guy going around telling christians when the rapture will take place (7th of july this year) and that 3 Atomic bombs will strick the US on the 16th of this month. A christians and her friend prayed to God about this and went silent before God and listend, and God toldd them that this prophet is not from him that satan is decieving him, and at one point he did belong to God. Amen know I know the truth. Are you aslo being decievd by them. They prophecy something, and when in does not come to pass we get disapointed. You know when as prophet speaks that is from God becasue it will come to pass.

If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

It's the year 300 CE. So we have the Hebrew Scruptures well defined, and the Isalmic movement is emerging in the middle east.

Both are based on the Abrahamic Covenant.

Then Christianity comes in and says "oh no the Covenant was with Jesus, he was BOTH
(1) the son of God, immortal, a divine being, and beyond human undestanding, AND
(2) in the lineage of Jewish Kings reaching back to abraham, ie a direct descendant.

So, doesn't that seem like over-reaching a bit, to be a divine Being AND establish a conclusive link back to Abraham (since both sons were alrady taken by other religiions).

Like, the new kid on the block, has to show up all the other kids to estabish supremacy? "Oh yeah your dad has a BMW? My dad has 5 BMW's....and he OWNS the BMW company"
