Where is there any proof of this in the bible? What are the verses?

You may be surprised to learn that the Bible revealed that the earth is round. Job 26:10, Prov 8:27, Isaiah 40:22, Amos 9:6.

Gen 1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. This is saying God created.
Gen 5 So the evening and the morning were the first day.
Gen 8 So the evening and the morning were the second day.
Gen 13 So the evening and the morning were the third day.
Gen 19 So the evening and the morning were the fourth day.
Gen 23 So the evening and the morning were the fifth day.
Gen 31 Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
The bible is very clear it says evening and mourning. This is a 24 hour period. This means that God took six days to create everything. When you say it could fit here, you are tring to make it fit. We should compare other book to the bible to see if they are true. Evolution is a false theory that God hates. If you say you are a christian that believes in evolution, you are calling God A liar. This is not what God,s word tells us. God will forgive you if you repent and turn to Him

There is no such proof. Science is limited to the physical. Your soul is eternal. The Bible deals with what is eternal where science cannot venture. The physical realm will pass away, and science will pass away with it. What you want to do is latch onto that which will last forever, and that is the Word of God.

Science deals with understanding and comprehending creation. Religion deals with the understanding and comprehension of the Creator.

Luke 21:33
“Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away."

For those who believe the Genesis account was just figurative, you need to also consider that the Creator Himself never said it was figurative.

And He answered and said to them, “Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female,’ - Mt 19:4

Some Christians believe in evolution because they lack knowledge of the bible. They think that the proven fact that the earth is millions of years old, means we evolved instead of being created. If they understood Isaiah 14, and Ezekiel 28, or even Genesis where God tells Adam to REPLENISH the earth, they would realize that a long period of time existed between Genesis 1:1 and Geneses 1:2, in which Satan ruled the earth, before his fall and the subsequent destruction which caused the earth to become 'without form and void.' Adam was told to REPLENISH the earth, which could not have been done if it had not been previously 'plentished', or, full of plenty. Hope this starts you studying in the right direction. God Bless...

I think you've got your question a little backwards. Christians do not believe that evolution is in the Bible or that it's a fact at all. Christians argue against evolution because it contradicts their theory of creation. There is an oxy moron out there that is christian science - but none of it is actually scientifically provable.

Come Christians realize that Genesis is a parable, not literal truth. They accept the reality of the world around them, and what they can actually, see and verify using the scientific method.

Assuming you are a Creationist, tell me- do you believe the Sun is larger than the earth, and the earth orbits around the sun?

Or do you believe that there is a "firmament" arching above the flat earth, which is held up by four pillars?

If you believe the first and not the second, what verses prove your view?

That's if you take the Bible figuratively. For example, when God made all of the creatures on earth befoe He made Adam and Eve, and it took him a week to make all of the creations. That's a number humans have put to it. Seven days in God's eyes could mean 70,000 years since God is eternal. And since humans weren't around when God was creating the animals and vegetation, who's to say that He didn't make creatures to evolve until they became exactly how He wanted them to be before He started making humans? You know, like molding with playdough?

"and God made...." says it all, doesn't it...Genesis. The Bible, in NO place, states how long it took...the "first day," etc. is a relative term. It is more than absurd that some Christians think in terms of modern dates and time....anyone with a brain knows that Science cannot be ALL wrong. Yet a few Christians cling to the notion that the Earth is but 6000 years old...this is not only preposterous, it is downright distortion of everything known.

Because they are trying to reconcile evolution and God's word. They want evolution to be true so they can appear to be scientific. Most evolutionists maintain that science and the Bible are not compatible. But the fact is there is much more scientific proof for creation than there is for evolution since ther is no evidence for evolution. So these who would blend evolution and the Bible ,try and please both masters God of creation and Satan of evolution. God dosent need evolution to create anything .

There is no evolution inthe Scriptures...

According to Scripture NOTHING evolved but everything was created "AFTER THEIR KIND"....which is directly consistent with the fossil record.
"From the beginning of the Creation God made them male and female..."-- Jesus (Mk. 10:6)

Scripture says God SPOKE all things into existence with His Word:
" By the Word of the Lord were the heavens created, and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth.... For HE SPAKE AND IT WAS DONE; HE COMMANDED AND IT STOOD FAST". (psalm 33:6-9

Evolution is not stated in the bible.

But some christians, are able to accept both evolution as it is currently taught, and not have it conflict with their religious beliefs.

Because they are trying SOOOO hard to hold on to their belief that is fluttering away while still fitting in with society.

It's kind of sad, isn't it?
