I don't care what John such and such said, explain to me what it means to you. Anyone with a small amount of intelligence can copy quotes from a book, just explain what it means through you don't just spit them out!

As a Jew I was taught Jesus was a liar, yet as I read the Jewish prophecies of the Messiah I had to chose if I would continue to believe a lie or to believe the truth.

A proof of the Bible being the Word of God and not tampered with is the fact that these prophecies are in the Jewish scriptures -while the Jewish people apart from Messianic Judaism say if you believe them your not Jewish any more!

"Unto us A CHILD IS BORN, A Son is given, and he will be almighty God, the prince of peace." Isaiah 9:6

"He will be exalted. Yet he will be marred more than any man.
All we like sheep have gone astray and the sins of us all will be put upon him. He will be despised and rejected. He will lay down his life to make atonement for our sins. He will die with the wicked and be burried with the rich. He will see his seed and prosper." Isaiah 52:13-53:12

ARE YOU THE SEED OF JESUS?= JOHN 3 Jesus said repent of sin and be born again.

will you believe the prophecies? I did!

A lie that's got some whiskers at this site is that atheists are evil and demonic and perhaps in league with satan. It’s true, alas, that a few of us here are loud and wide-of-the-mark. Me, I consider my own self and the path my long life has taken, and, gosh, it just ain't so that “all” atheists are like that, it just ain't. I haven't counted up, and I shall not, but I am of a mind that most atheists marry, bring up great kids, brush the dog, take the garbage out, watch football on the idiot box, and drink a cool one now and then--just like everybody else. I, for one, do not spend my day thinking only about god and all that; for one thing, at 71 and disabled, I'm still in the warm embrace of my life's work, the classical theatre. I'm working 12- and 14-hours every day and seven days of every week. Let me tell you, my main man Will Shakespeare ain't for sissies. But he did die a Catholic.

Why must they actively convert people of another faith instead of helping the lost and the homeless?

to judge atheists, christians, religion, etc etc, by the mistakes that others have made in the past or a few bad apples have made in the present?

There are very good people in all groups. To judge someone collectively as a group instead of indiviually is ignorant and narrowminded. What say you?

This pair of idiots prioritise the well being of Christians ahead of everyone else in Iraq because of their pathetic religion. How are we suppose to get anything done in the world if people only look after their own in this way?

"Lift your eyes and look to the heavens:
Who created all these?
He who brings out the starry host one by one,
and calls them each by name.
Because of his great power and mighty strength,
not one of them is missing."___Isaiah 40:26

Question for Christians/God lovers. What do you think it more likely: A strand of DNA appearing after the big bang OR an omnipotent God that is complicated beyond comprehension, can answer millions of prayers simultaneously, perform miracles and judge 6+ billion people. Just seems to me, while both are unlikely, that science at least has a chance.
Will everyone admit that its unlikely(not impossible) God exists? Even if you believe, just think logically and admit it.

Is there an argument to be found in the observation that pledging "allegiance" to a "flag" resembles idolatry? Yes, God told us to obey the laws of the land, but do not forget that we can change those laws, policies, and elected officials when they have been corrupted.

I mean, a government acts based on what is most beneficial for its citizens, usually in economic terms. But where some gain, others lose. When Jesus fed the hungry in the paradigm of the fishes and loaves, he wasn't being polite. He was teaching them to share.

The actions of Christ and the actions of the Federal Reserve do not coincide. Would it be a sin to condone an international trade policy that kept others in poverty? Is it folly to shed your beliefs at the ballot box?

Ephesians 2:8-10 God saved you by his special favor when you believed. And you can't take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God'd masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so that we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

For those Christians who believe that works and sacraments are a "condition" of our free gift of salvation rather than a "result" of it, I have a few questions. Please support your answer with Bible references and not opinions.
1. How much work is required?
2. How do you know when you have done enough?
3. Who gets the credit for your salvation?
4. Did Jesus not complete his work on the cross, that he left some of it for us to do?
Thankyou in advance for your answers.
