Should we censor the word witness or let our delicate ears hear such blasphemy?

i'ma Christian too but the rest of you can't go around sayyin "Yeee, if you accept Christ you'll be saved!" It's not that simple.

First off, Christ decides who's saved and who's not and garunteed a ton of Christians are gonna be dissapointed when they realize that just cause Jesus died for our sins doesn't mean we can keep sinning... and every Christian i know sins.

Secondly, accepting Christ is a good first step but you gotta follow through and become an intrinsically good person and restrain from sinning...

I'm not 'speaking on Christs' behalf i'm merely pointing out that it takes abit more than just claiming that you accept Christ as your savoir.

Cause in that case anyone can be like "Yahh, i'm cool with Jesus, i'm saved" and then they turn around and start harassing someone for fun.

They gotta be abit more thorough.

It seems to me that Jesus was probably rich and had nice garments if they were wanting them.

I know its a daily battle for me. Alot of times I am able to overcome it without telling anyone other than God, but sometimes I do need to talk to my brothers and sisters in Christ......It really depends on what I'm worried about. I know God is powerful enough to take it all away, but I think he wants us to go to our brothers and sisters in Christ in times of need. How do you deal with worry?

this was an answer from another user of why we need religion for today, as if fabric of society would fall apart without it...as if we are seeing holy and perfect world in it's current state under religion's grip

and what is this "structure" anyways....

Pavlov's conditioning? tradition and habit so they never know why to believe, but just do, and not understand scriptures and just mindlessly believe, seeing the bible is full of felony acts and crimes that if done today, the Heroes of the Bible would be in Maximum Security Prison?

What, if anything, do you think should be changed in respect to the immigration policy/naturalization process currently practiced by the federal government?

Note: This question is directed toward people of faith to gain spiritual perspective on the issue.

Shouldn't Jesus' behavior be an example of how we should live? Jesus says we should follow the ten commandments. Yet the gospels say he himself lied (Matthew 24:34, John 7:8-10), stole (Mark 11: 1-3, Matthew 8:28-34), dishonored his parents (Luke 14:26), and broke the sabbath (Mark 2:23-27).

If you say he's doing away with the OT law, then why does he instruct us to follow the commandments (Matthew 19:17-19)?

For example, if you were raised as a Christian, are you still a Christian?

If not, why did you decide to change?

If so, do you think you would follow that religion if you hadn't been raised with it?

Honest answers please, just to satisfy my own curiosity.

How do you get your toddler (23 1/2 months old to be precise) to sit down and be quiet gently during the meetings? I tend to lean toward gentle discipline, and my baby is extremely hyper. (AD/HD runs strong on both sides of his family, so...) The last time I went to the meeting, I made him promise to be quiet, but I sat in the back room while he crawled around. I want him to get something out of the meeting, but I know first hand how hard it is to sit still, so I can only imagine how hard it is, with him being a toddler. I figured, at least he was quiet. He likes to pretend to give talks, so he gets some out of it. But he is just to mobile and loud when he sits at the seats. Is it wrong that I take him to the back so much so he can move around and express the energy he has? I would appreciate any gentle suggestions. Thank you!

(Trolls will be blocked and reported.)

if all became believers, would then religion go away? don't religions HAVE to have it's sinners and it was never designed to actually convert or save all?

For True Christians ONLY? Do you know WHY....... They...... Mock..... Christ Jesus... and His Word... The Bible?

Do you know... IT WILL GET WORSE......?

(1Peter 4:12-13-14) Beloved, do not be astonished at the fiery trial = = which is to try you, = = as though a strange thing happened to you,

(1Pe 4:13) but rejoice according as you are partakers = = of Christ's suffering, = = so that when His glory shall be revealed, = = you may be glad also with exceeding joy.

(1Pe 4:14) If you = = are reviled for the name of Christ, = = you are blessed, = = because the Spirit of God and of glory rests on you. = = Truly according to them, = = He is blasphemed, = = but according to you He is glorified.

Here is the EVIDENCE.... http://www.thedcl.org/christia/f/foxejohn/maryters/martyrs.html

They will Continue .... To Mock GOD... and His WORD!

Do you remember HOW SACRED....'THEY'.. were After "9-11"?

HOW... will it be for the Mockers... when JESUS RETURNS?

Thanks, RR

The Health Care System Lie.

Half way in the middle of Canada lies the Sleeping Giant, a natural rock formation, a monument to itself, and if you know the story, a story of betrayal and maybe someday a monument to deceptive half-truths, where truths can lie. As the legend goes the truth of the mine of silver was betrayed.

On June 7th, the Canadian Cancer society announced 'research" indicated that vitamin D can help prevent some 60% of cancers. For decades alternative scientists have suggested that basic and simple methods exist to deal with the cancer problem, however mainstream science in North America has been motivated in finding a patent able profitable treatment, expensive molecular research and expensive treatments; another classic half-truth. Some people don't see prevention as a cure, believing in a cure is treating people with a cancer. But if we prevent cancers, is that not the simplest, and best of possible cures ?

To play Devil's advocate here: If Judaism,Christianity and Islam are to be believed then God is a unique divine being and we are creatures He has made, even if through evolution.Does He ever get lonely for others of His kind? What can we give Him or make for Him that He really needs even if He might love us for loving Him? If there's no God we'd still have each other but God's situation is like being abandoned on a desert island and never seeing another human again and only having the work of your hands to keep you busy - this would be God's work as Creator but no creature would be His equal or truly like Him.I could be wrong and probably am - just something that struck me as odd.

How do you know god? As a being? As an energy? I believe that god is everything and most importantly unconditional love. As a believer in god, I feel that this is what I am trying to come closer to in all of my lives. Please share with me. Thanks.

I found several questions about what day or date certain events relevant to Christianity happened. Our current western system uses weekday names taken from norse/germanic mythology and our date system is a roman adaptation of the Egyptian system. What possible relevance do Christians see in these pagan systems in regards to Christianity?

What happens to people who were raised in different cultures and have not been exposed to god at all? Even if the person is good hearted they are damned to hell? What about the poor children in these situations they go to hell too?
If this is true I say christianity is disgusting.

I.E., what is more important to you, the truth or what you believe at this moment? I'm not saying that Jesus didn't rise from the dead, so I'm not looking for 'Of course noone will find evidence for that' answers, I'm just curious in the IF question. Without Jesus, our religion is practically the same as Judaism or Islam, would you follow one of those religions? Or would you carry on being a Christian of some sorts? Or would you stop believing in God?

Have you ever been toyed with by the enemy? I have many times. In a vision or a dream has he ever tried to throw you into the pit. This happend to me last year and found myself decending down and down until it got so dark I could not see my hands infront of my face, infact it was so dark if you close your eyes it was darker than that, it really peritrated my being, and I kept falling into darkness, then I found a hand came into the pit and pulled me straight out. The bibles says that God's right hand pulls me out of the pit. That was around the time the adversory was harrassing me in the middle of the night in visions. But this tormenting supernatural dream was confussing as I had no idea what was going on when I was going down and down into the botomless pit so full of darkness that was consuming. Has that happend to you and what happend?

convincing a religious person there is NO god, or convincing an athiest there IS a god, to me they seem equally difficult, although, if there was the slightest bit of proof then i don't think there would be many if any athiests.

Christians generally defend God's actions when he chastised Job rather than take a loving, empathetic position at that point of the book,. Does this mean that Job deserved what came upon him?
