religion has one funtion, and one function only- CONTROL. it does not guide, it forces, it does not provide, it establishes, it does not serve, it determines. it is the worst of all evils imposed on mankind. if you want to think for yourself, religion takes that from you. if you want to do good for yourself, religion demands it be done according to a set of rules it has made up to keep you from doing what is good for you.
if you want to serve others, it sets the conditions, and requires you to follow them. it's nothing short of dictatorship disguised as something good for all.
i am not againt belief, but i am against being told what i can and cannot do simply because someone else may not like it.

Just because someone is a believer does not mean that they are still not sinners. I doubt if a day goes by that even the most fervent believer in God/Jesus does not sin..or is at least faced with the temptation. Religions per se are made by man as a teaching method for worship...not to save. God did not create religions...man did. Simply believing in the existance of God or Jesus is not enough. It is necessary to have a personal and on going relationship with God...to trust him...and to be obedient to what he asks you to do. I don't need a religion to tell me what he wants from me...or how he feels toward me. He makes things pretty clear most of the time...if I am willing to listen...and to trust Him. He has done some amazing things in my life...and has proven his love for me over and over.

Believers are sinners.

If everyone believed, we would still have sinners. But religion would not and should not go away. The structure that religion provides is necessary to spiritual growth.

Yes, religion can exist without unbelievers.
If religion went away, what would they be believers in? The question is self-contradictory.
God wants all to be saved and that none should perish.

There will be nothing but believers in heaven, and religion certainly exists there.

Looked at in a dualistic sense I suppose so. There must always be those to be converted...
