Shouldn't Jesus' behavior be an example of how we should live? Jesus says we should follow the ten commandments. Yet the gospels say he himself lied (Matthew 24:34, John 7:8-10), stole (Mark 11: 1-3, Matthew 8:28-34), dishonored his parents (Luke 14:26), and broke the sabbath (Mark 2:23-27).

If you say he's doing away with the OT law, then why does he instruct us to follow the commandments (Matthew 19:17-19)?

Matthew 24:34 He was not talking about that generation, but the generation that would see the abomination of desolation, He did not lie. John 7: 8-10 He did not go to the feast at the same time as the apostles, but went a little later, He did not lie. Mark 11:1-3 He did not steal the *** but told the deciples to say the Lord needed it and he gave it to them. Matthew 8:28-34What does casting out demons have to do with stealing? Luke 14:26 He did not mean you have to hate your parents, but only that you must put GOD before anyone else. Mark 2:23-27 He did not break the sabbath, the law said to do no servile work on the sabbath and was not doing servile work. Matthew 19:17-19 The commandments are not the law but the commandments written in stoneby the hand of GOD.. the law was written by Moses on tablets for the Israelites.

Matthew 24:34
Jesus spoke of the generation that would see the signs, not the actual generation he was speaking to.

Mark 11:1-3
The men agreed to letting them take the donkey. The animals belong to God, not man. He created all creatures and has dominion over them all.

Matthew 8:28-34
Nothing was even stolen.

Luke 14:26
His parents were not even mentioned in the scripture.

Mark 2:23-27
Jesus explained himself at the end of these scriptures.

No matter what way you twist and turn the scriptures, Jesus never sinned. The Bible says he was tempted at all points, but knew no sin. It was impossible for him to sin, he was God in the flesh.

He on no account broke any of the commandments. you're examining the Bible like a textbook. Jesus defined why amassing for nutrition would not ruin the commandment. David even ate the instruct-bread out of the Temple and replaced into not punished.

You don't understand those sections of scripture. Let me go through each of those places you've referred to.

Matthew 24:34 Generation- the Bible often refers to this time when Satan rules the world as "this age." The next age starts when Christ returns. This word generation refers to that same thing.

John 7:8-10 He said "not yet." Also, if you study the Scriptures, Jesus' brothers were trying to take him and tie him because they thought he was crazy.

Mark 11:1-3 The man he took the colt from let the men take it because he knew the Scripture that said
(Zec 9:9) Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ***, and upon a colt the foal of an ***.

Matthew 8:28-34 Christ saved a man from a devil. A flock of filthy swine (considered unclean) is a small price to pay.

Luke 14:26 Your love for God is so great that your love for your family seems to be hate in comparison.

Mark 2 23-27 You beat me to it. Here he is doing away with the law.

Jesus didn't break any of the Commandments. One of those references you listed (yes, I looked them up and didn't base my answer solely on my superior knowledge =D) stuck out among the others and I feel the need to explain it: Jesus said "If anyone comes to Me without hating his father and mother...he cannot be my disciple." The word "hating" is used here, but it means more of a disownership and a willingness to give up everything to follow Jesus. Your other references don't have anything to do with breaking the Commandments. God bless!

God gave to Moses to give to us the law (the ten commandments )...........We didn't obey. Jesus gave us two commandments and said "love God with all your heart and soul', and " love your neighbor as yourself". He said the law would hang on these two commandments (meaning we will fulfill the ten by obeying His two.)..... Most of us still don't obey...... But praise God (the man Jesus), obeyed for us. He was without sin and obeyed everything His Father commanded for us. Forget the ten commandments. Honor and do the two He gave us, to the best of your ability. And you will pleasantly find yourself fulfilling the ten without the hard work of trying to obey the ten. That's what Jesus meant when he said He was doing away with old testament law. He didn't really do away with OT law, He just gave us a new and better way to deal with it without as much failure. Listen, ponder, understand, and follow the two he gave to us. When we obey the Sons two, we obey the Fathers ten. Love conquers all.

Well,
Just give up then, and become a muslim. I am sure you'll love the instruction you'll receive and lack of rights you'll have.

Or be an athiest and follow the morality of our wonderful pop culture and crooked politicians. That's what has brought forth abortion, venereal diseases, drug use, and countless other problems and crimes. In this country, 32% of black males will enter State or Federal prison during their lifetime,17% of Hispanic males and 5.9% of white males.
These rates of immorality and incarceration came AFTER God was removed from our culture.
You can mock Christianity all you want, but it's to your and our peril. The proof is in raw statistics and the behaviour you encounter every day.
Good luck with your life.

You are very misinformed. I read all of those verses you say Jesus has broken commandments. All of your statements are very FALSE! He did not lie, he did not dishonor his parents; he said that he can not have a disciple who dishonors his own parents. Where are you getting these bizarre ideas?? He did not steal, he told two of his disciples to bring him a colt and that if anyone was there, to tell them that Jesus sent them and they would "send him hither".

You are obviously very ignorant about the Bible. You should read the whole thing and not assume what It is saying.

I looked up the passages that you mentioned, and I see no evidence that Jesus stole, lied, or otherwise dishonored his parents, unless you have a radically different idea of what theses words mean than the rest of the worlds population.

You are apparently a troll.

The only valid point that you have is that Jesus may have broke the Jewish Sabbath, but apparently he broke the letter of the law in order to keep the INTENT of the law.

---------------------------
6On another Sabbath he went into the synagogue and was teaching, and a man was there whose right hand was shriveled. 7The Pharisees and the teachers of the law were looking for a reason to accuse Jesus, so they watched him closely to see if he would heal on the Sabbath. 8But Jesus knew what they were thinking and said to the man with the shriveled hand, "Get up and stand in front of everyone." So he got up and stood there.

9Then Jesus said to them, "I ask you, which is lawful on the Sabbath: to do good or to do evil, to save life or to destroy it?"

10He looked around at them all, and then said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." He did so, and his hand was completely restored. 11But they were furious and began to discuss with one another what they might do to Jesus.

Jesus was a prophet. He was an ordinary man who tried to spread a powerful message to the people of Earth. After his death, humans created Christianity. This belief system is made by humans.

Jesus is the son of God. So are we. The chaotic world that we live in brings out the best and the worst in us. But it is the wisdom that we learn through life that we carry with us to Creation.

The commandments are a guide to a better civilization. People make mistakes. But we should love them regardless and know that we are all growing on our own level. The commandments are made to be broken so we can learn more about ourselves and the affects of Universal Laws. This will help us all develop on a higher spiritual vibration and make us all unite as one as a race and to be closer to God.
