Well I never thought about that. Good Question but I think NO, since they were not birthed from a womb, a belly button is from the umbilical cord that the baby feeds on from it's mother ect. Since Adam was formed from dirt and woman from a rib, I would say NO.

I can't answer for sure, but I think this question was addressed hundreds of years ago, lol.
I seem to remember that in Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel, he depicted Adam and Eve sans belly buttons. If this isn't correct, I am fairly sure that there are some renaissance paintings that show Adam and Eve without belly buttons. I'll keep looking on the internet.

No i don't think of they did because of the fact they did not strengthen to being an person by means of being in a mothers womb. The abdomen button is the hint of the umbilical twine, and there's a particular blood grant device besides. it particularly isn't needed as quickly as the toddler is born, and easily not in an person, so the tummy button is somewhat like a scar: that's a left over of the previous.

It really doesn't matter, but I think they didn't. Some think they did, and that's okay... they have a right to be wrong. (LOL)
Anyways, at least it's not a major doctrine... "Well I'm going to heaven because Adam had a belly button!"
So, sit back read all the answers, then pick mine as best simply because you want to... (or is it because Adam didn't have a belly button?)

Sure. "God" created them fully formed. There was plenty of mud to make a navel for Adam, and of course "he" didn't even need mud to make Eve, although it would seem that there should have been plenty of mud to "create" a few more people so that it would not have been necessary to engage in incest when all the "begotting" took place. So, yes they both had navels, the apple tree was already mature, and loaded with fruit, the snake had the ability to speak the language of Adam and Eve, and of course they too had language skills from the first moment. Yes, "god" thought of everything......almost. "He" failed to anticipate the need for the "wives" of Cain and Abel to somehow exist. "He" knew they would "take wives", but in an apparent oversight, he failed to "create" these two women.

Good question! I'd have to say no or at least they shouldn't have! Course we'll probably never know! It'll be interesting to get to heaven and get kicked out for asking to see A&E's belly buttons!

How do you KNOW that they were never attached to an umbilical cord? The Bible says they were "placed" in the Garden...not "they were formed" in the Garden...hmmm....

If Adam and Eve ever existed they would not have had belly buttons. The whole concept of creationism is devoid of any logic or interpretation....in my humble opinion.
Love your question.

Surprise! Adam and Eve had navels (belly buttons) because they both were born into bodies of flesh and bone as you and I were--excepting they were born on a different planet and transported to earth as its first inhabitants.
