A lot of readers have contributed a lot of ideas so far. Let me contribute mine.
Atheists are sometimes group into 2. They are the Positive Atheist and the Negative Atheist. A Positive atheist is an atheist who accept as true the proposition, "gods do not exist". Negative atheists consists of atheists with an absence of belief in one or more gods, without the positive affirmation of belief in no gods.
TYPES OF ATHEISTS
1. Reared Atheist - If you are born with an atheist parents, chances are you are also an atheist.
2. Practical Atheist. - They are mostly consist of old folks who use "common sense" to justify thier non-belief in a god. Usually these folks use the old reliable "to see is to believe" issue to justify non-belief. In practical, or pragmatic, atheism, also known as apatheism, individuals live as if there are no gods and explain natural phenomena without resorting to the divine. The existence of gods is not denied, but may be designated unnecessary or useless; gods neither provide purpose to life, nor influence everyday life, according to this view.
3. Scientific atheist - These guys use the scientific method to justify non-belief. majority of atheist in theUS are of this type. the best example of this is Prof. Richard Dawkins.
4. Philosophical atheists - uses philosophy to justify non-belief. There are different kinds of philosophical atheists. majority of these type of atheist are known to be Bible bashers.
TYPES OF PHILOSOPHICAL ATHEISTS
(a.) Epistemological atheist argues that people cannot know God or determine the existence of God.
(i.) logical positivism - assert the meaninglessness or unintelligibility of basic terms such as "God".
(ii.)holds that the statement "God exists" does not express a proposition, but is nonsensical or cognitively meaningless.
(b.) Metaphysical atheist which based their atheism on metaphysical monism.
(c.) Logical atheist holds that the various conceptions of gods, such as the personal God of Christianity, are ascribed logically inconsistent qualities.
(d.)Theodicean atheists believe that the world as they experience it cannot be reconciled with the qualities commonly ascribed to God and gods by theologians.
(e.) There is also atheism base on Ayn Rand's Objectivism.
5. Axiological, or constructive, atheism rejects the existence of gods in favor of a "higher absolute," such as humanity and society.
6. Psychological atheists are those atheists that says god is only a human invention.
I hope I have shed light in the subject.

those at the instant are not varieties of atheism. The issues you indexed (with the exception of agnosticism) are some outlooks which take place to be nicely suited with, and frequently coexist with, atheism. There at the instant are no "varieties" of atheism. Atheism is merely not believing in a god. additionally, agnostics at the instant are not atheism, so even of there have been "varieties" of atheism, agnosticism would not be considered one of them. the place is this question coming from? it style of feels to be presupposing the existence of a god, so is it for some non secular direction you're taking?

It's not that there are forms of Atheism, per se. Rather, there are several philosophies that are inherently Atheistic.
For example, Objectivism has no place for a deity. For one point, in Objectivist morality, the purpose of ethics is to guide your choices to achieve your values. In most religions, the purpose of morality is service to a deity. Not all Atheists are Objectivists.
Some Existentionalists have argued that, when somebody creates something, they have a specific idea of what it is and what it is for. Existentionalism's main foundation rests on the notion that human beings do not have a "natural" essence (some, however, say that we may define our own essence). If we had been created, an essence would've been created for us. Therefore, these Existentionalists claim, we could not have been created. Not all Atheists are Existentionalists, nor are all Existentionalists Atheists.
Secular humanists hold reason, science and justice as the main (sometimes only) sources of human judgment and ethics, often with a strong rejection of anything that is supernatural. Morality is often defined by the actions that lead to happiness for mankind. The search for truth and the need to test assumptions are often held as moral points in and of themselves. Most, but not all, Atheists are secular humanists, nor is secular humanism, by itself, particulary exclusivise. For example, many Objectivists would fall under a loose definition of "secular humanism."
Marxists are Atheists, seeing religion as nothing more than a tool that was created to keep the under masses under control. Not all Atheists are Marxists. Objectivism, in particular, tends to have a bit of virulence towards Marxist philosophy, seeing it as a very religious point of view; it just replaces the word "God" with "State."
Logical Positivism is an Atheistic position, resting on the assumption that any sentence is only meaningful if and only if there is a procedure that may determine its truth or falsity. However, its own assumption fails its own test, so it is inconsistent. There are no Logical Positivists left, but all of the previous espousers of its doctrine were Atheists (but not all Atheists were Positivists).
Neopositivism is a tiny movement that came out of Logical Positivism, trying to fulfill its tenets while avoiding its pitfalls. There are very few Neopositivists actually left, but they are all Atheists. Most Atheists are not Neoposivists (In my opinion, they never actually fixed the error of Logical Positivism).
Nihilists believe that there is no purpose, meaning, or truth in human lives, which are often viewed as short and cosmically unimportant. Ethics are often irrelevant, as no choice can really make so much difference as to make one outcome truly better than another. Most Nihilists (but not all) are Atheists. Most Atheists are not Nihilists.
Some Feminist philophies hold that the notion of a "high partiarch" common in monotheistic beliefs are nothing but a tool of men to control women. Such Feminists are occassionally Atheists. But not all Atheists believe that religion was there to oppress women specifically (and not all Atheists are Feminists).
Naturalism is a philosophical belief that does not distinguish between "natural" and "supernatural." All claims, in the Naturalist view, are open to the same sort of testing for verification. Some Naturalists have pointed out that supernatural things are either unknown or nonexistant, leading some of them to Atheism. Not all Atheists are Naturalists.
These are some of the more common variations. This list is by no means exhaustible! Mind you, there are some Atheists in Buddhism, Hinduism (believe it or not), Confucianism, Taoism, Shinto... the list is inexhaustible. How they came to Atheism can be very different. The fact that they do not believe in the existence of a god is the only uniting aspect.

I think the different forms can be as varied as the people themselves, outside of not believing there is a God they don't really seem to have too much in common for the most part.
I think some believe only in their own self, some in science, some in nothing at all.

Well to tell you the truth I dont actually buy into that whole different forms of agnostics either.
Yeah yeah I have heard agnostic/theist or agnostic/atheist. But to me thats all just silly.
To me those are just people who may be really one way or another but for whatever reason they dont want to admit it.
Agnostic...true agnostic means being able to be content with the aspect "one may never know" and therefor a selection of belief is too limiting. Someone who says they are agnostic/atheist or theist seems to say "true knowledge may never be known yet I am going to wage my bet this way"

No, there are not different 'forms' of atheism.
It isn't a cult or belief system. It is a term that simply describes anyone who doesn't believe in any form of God or god or gods. That includes angels, devils, witches, ghosts, werewolves, tooth fairies, santa clauses, easter bunnies, vampires, or any other supernatural beings, human in form or otherwise.
I'm not an atheist, but there's no reason that everyone can't understand what they are talking about.

atheism is accepting that a god doesn't exist.
there is only one form of that: god doesn't exist.
beyond that, they don't hang out in cult buildings together
the reason there are many different forms of xianity is because of their hate for one another and their complete disagreement for what the buy-bull says and how it is to be worshiped - so they split up into thousands of sects/denominations and stay apart in their hatred and disagreement.
