I never knew we had a slogan. I am hoping it was never convert or die. I do like telling people that Jesus loves them because it is true and uplifting! Please do not lump together everyone that claims to be a christian, it really does more harm than good. There are false and fake people in every religion, Christianity is no different in that aspect. There are also some baby Christians who are not sure of the right way to lead people and yet others who have been misguided, we are imperfect beings and should not be expected to act perfectly. We should however act like "Christians" are commanded to act and love others instead of "converting" and being holier than thou. We do not have the power to convert, we are only commanded to share the good news of Jesus and God will handle the rest. We all have a thorn in our side, others are more visible than others.

I don't know when it has every been "Convert or Die", but Christians shouldn't use that approach. Instead they should use the Jesus Loves You approach because we are suppose to show love to others.

But now most people have realized that the burn or die doesn't work and they went to that and now do it machanically. If a person is truly borned again they will not try an approach that brings the most results, but better yet the one that Christ would approve of.

I have been a Christian for 31 years & I was never raised on any slogan that said "Convert or Die." I really believe that maybe you just ran into someone that "called" themselves a christian, & I hope you don't get the wrong idea of a real Christian. "Convert or Die" is a pretty tough phrase to be using if you ask me & that is not our slogan. I'm really sorry for the person who gave you that impression.

And why is it that people assume Christians have slogans, as if we are are part of an exclusive team, complete with slogans, colors, mascot and cheerleaders? We are people, same as you, and we believe the way we believe. We worship the same God and have accepted the gift of His Son, Jesus Christ. Beyond that, we each have our own way of worshipping, practicing our beliefs and talking to others about our faith. Some of us will pound others over the head with the Bible. That is unfortunate because it turns people away from God - not to Him. Others are so quiet about their beliefs that many don't even know they are even Christians. Hopefully the majority of us are examples of Christ's love for all human beings and are happy to point the way to Christ, without use of intimidation, condemnation, judgment and fear, but rather by demonstrating unconditional love, acceptance, peace and understanding toward our fellow man. As for saying "Jesus loves you", He does. That has always been the case and always will be. That has never changed.

Well everyone dies, and Jesus said those who believe in him will never die so that first slogan is partially true. But if you refer to killing in the name of God, then that is obviously not in accordance with the teachings of Christ or anyone else in the Bible nor would the Holy Spirit convey such a doctrine, so it is not representative of true Christianity.

It's not a question of changing anything. Both are true and have to exist together. It is true that Jesus loves you, this must always be stressed but Christianity is not some fluffy bubblegum religion. There is a serious consequence to ignoring Jesus and His sacrifice which is, like it or not, eternity in hell. Both are true and both must be put forward equally.
God bless

Why all the attacks on Christians? How come they never attack muslims or any other religion that also tells them how to live their lives based on their beliefs, is it because your afraid that they will attack you right back? because Christians are peace loving, so you enjoy attacking them - your so uneducated, you never research the bible or anything that you disagree with, your no better than the over-religious people that you hate, so GROW UP and stop acting like a child. Either learn how to debate like an adult who is cultured and educated or shut up and get off of yahoo, thank you.

They are realizing that others are more powerful and will no more take the bully!

I am yet to find a christian who has communicated directly with Christ!

I am yet to find a christian priest who has a valid answer as to what happens to the wrong doers and criminals when they die! If God loves all, how can he punish the criminals?

May be that's why HE is giving red carpet to George W.....

Because they found that the Muslims already had copyright over the original slogan (and still do). I'm not being anti-Muslim here.... apart from the copyright joke, it's all true. Read the Quran. It basically says just that. Scary stuff indeed.

I wouldn’t know. I have never heard any Christian use the slogan convert or die.

Jesus loves you.
