God created all life to honor him. You honor God by seeking His will for your life, and doing it. God's will is different for every person.

since God is the author of life-it would be to glorify him.
we are made in his image=with the power to love-care-if we love God we will also love his creation=others.
this is what helped me to understand the meaning of life, which also gives meaning to death too=one I was going to commit suicide having everthing I wanted as a Jew with money.
and the reason is because I finally believed the prophecies and prayed- "Jesus I am sorry for my sins, come into my heart and help me, be my friend, amen."
He said he would in Revelation 3:19&20 "I love you, and ask you to repent from your sins quickly and turn to me, Behold I stand at your heart door and knock, if you open the door asking me in, I will come in and be your friend."
this is why I came to believe Jesus=As a Jew I was taught Jesus was a liar, yet as I read the Jewish prophecies of the Messiah I had to chose if I would continue to believe a lie or to believe the truth.
A proof of the Bible being the Word of God and not tampered with is the fact that these prophecies are in the Jewish scriptures -while the Jewish people apart from Messianic Judaism say if you believe them your not Jewish any more!
"Unto us A CHILD IS BORN, A Son is given, and he will be almighty God, the prince of peace." Isaiah 9:6
"He will be exalted. Yet he will be marred more than any man.
All we like sheep have gone astray and the sins of us all will be put upon him. He will be despised and rejected. He will lay down his life to make atonement for our sins. He will die with the wicked and be burried with the rich. He will see his seed and prosper." Isaiah 52:13-53:12
ARE YOU THE SEED OF JESUS?= JOHN 3 Jesus said repent of sin and be born again.
thanks for your question and your kindness too Mrs wonderfull, David

life
n. 1. A cellular-automata game invented by John Horton Conway and first introduced publicly by Martin Gardner ("Scientific American", October 1970); the game's popularity had to wait a few years for computers on which it could reasonably be played, as it's no fun to simulate the cells by hand. Many hackers pass through a stage of fascination with it, and hackers at various places contributed heavily to the mathematical analysis of this game (most notably Bill Gosper at MIT, who even implemented life in TECO!; see Gosperism). When a hacker mentions `life', he is much more likely to mean this game than the magazine, the breakfast cereal, or the human state of existence. 2. The opposite of Usenet. As in "Get a life!"

This is an age old question. Do me a favor, if you find out, let me know. I'd appreciate it.
Or, we could go this way:
Life: (noun) the condition that distinguishes organisms from inorganic objects and dead organisms, being manifested by growth through metabolism, reproduction, and the power of adaptation to environment through changes originating internally.

Life has no intrinsic "meaning", anymore than a table lamp or a giraffe or a river have "meaning". Life does have a purpose, however, and that purpose is to sustain itself. That's why the urge to procreate (or at least to keep practising!) is so strong in all forms of life...

The meaning of life is the experience of life. All that you experience is the meaning.
If you want an idea as an answer you'll never get one because life is an experience and not an idea.

The purpose of life is to continue. At its fundamental, organic level, this means avoiding or defeating predators, consuming nutrients and reproducing. One-celled organisms instinctively follow this rule even without "knowing" it.
But there are other, more complicated ways to continue. Individuals can form alliances or symbiotic relationships, using their own, specialized functions and abilities to help each other. By experience or observation, they learn better ways of protecting themselves and of insuring a food supply. They can even begin working on a group level, sharing learning experiences and planning their own future development.
Unfortunately, there seem to be built-in mechanisms that limit individual life spans. Every individual eventually dies. How could such an anti-life mechanism have developed in our genome, unless there was a deeper survival advantage hidden in it? Perhaps there is some good in allowing an individual to pass on, such as opportunity for a succeeding generation to develop and learn even better ways for the species to manage its environment.
We are an amazing collection of instincts and habits, all apparently designed to help us cope and survive in the world we find ourselves in. But none of us is self sufficient. We need each other for something. Things as abstract as love, peace and justice are important survival tools. And constructs as esoteric as art and philosophy can inspire and challenge us to test the convenient assumptions we previously used and perhaps recast them in a truer and more beneficial way for the future.
In other words, life is about realizing we are all in it together and it is up to us to make it good for everyone. Hoarding, excluding and manipulating to benefit myself at the expense of others is actually counter-productive. And an anti-instinctive reaching out in trust and compassionate risk may enhance the general quality of life simply by the example it provides. The "success" of my life depends on the cooperative enhancement of everyone's lives. That includes not just the food, clothing and shelter levels, but hope, aspiration and solidarity as well.
It's not about making our world "safe", but about making our world and ourselves better.
