As a Jew I was taught Jesus was a liar, yet as I read the Jewish prophecies of the Messiah I had to chose if I would continue to believe a lie or to believe the truth.

A proof of the Bible being the Word of God and not tampered with is the fact that these prophecies are in the Jewish scriptures -while the Jewish people apart from Messianic Judaism say if you believe them your not Jewish any more!

"Unto us A CHILD IS BORN, A Son is given, and he will be almighty God, the prince of peace." Isaiah 9:6

"He will be exalted. Yet he will be marred more than any man.
All we like sheep have gone astray and the sins of us all will be put upon him. He will be despised and rejected. He will lay down his life to make atonement for our sins. He will die with the wicked and be burried with the rich. He will see his seed and prosper." Isaiah 52:13-53:12

ARE YOU THE SEED OF JESUS?= JOHN 3 Jesus said repent of sin and be born again.

will you believe the prophecies? I did!

Totally..if the bible was tampered with why are the messianic prophecies still in there? The prophecies are clear, they mirror the life of Jesus..He was, is and always will be the son of God. Praise the Lord!

Gee,

A few years ago many Christians were making the predictions that the world would in in the year 2000 or 2001, based on information found in the bible.

Six years later, we are still here.

Yet no Christian has ever prophesied 9-11, Pearl Harbor, or any other nation wide disaster.

It seems like batting average of Christian prophecies is close to zero when it comes to our nation or recent times.

So why should I believe in cosmological prophecies, which require a higher level of proof?

Jesus Christ didn't lie. He doesn't lie.
The bible says, God will delusion sinners to believe a lie.
You can speak the truth, but it's peoples own interpretations of the words spoken that actually causes lies.
Jesus Christ actually was God himself manifest in flesh. Which means the body of Jesus was only a suit. The bible warns that the body is only a suit. A room that houses the soul. As the bible says, Jesus Christ is the father. Jesus said, You see me, then you have seen the father. Which means he was only an image of God's son, not his actual son. But because how people sees the words, they believe he was the actual son, not just an 'actor' in a suit portraying someone else. When reading the bible, people fail to see the signs which helps to reveal the true meanings of the words in the bible. "Sometimes you have to see a man's face to understand what his words means". In the King James Bible, there's not a verse that confirms that Jesus Christ is actually God's son, people assumes that.
That bible warns that the only one true priest (the mediator) will not appear on the earth until the last days.
If I say, "It has been written that turtles are blue". Would that mean that turtles are actually blue. Would I be lying about turtles being blue. I didn't say turtles are blue, I said some wrote that they are blue. That could be true if someone actually wrote that. It's the people who seen my words that would lie saying that I said they are blue.

All religions were created to control and sway people's opinions to the liking of the religion's creators. All the nonsense of prophecy is just superstition and should not be considered relevant to anything. All religions that are not practiced in this day and age are considered obsolete and archaic. The problem is today's religious nuts can't see that what they believe is just another mindless stepping stone in the repetition of religious ignorance.

Science and out of the box thinking is progress.
Religion is a brick wall.

Then, as a Jew, your family taught you wrong. The Jews believe that Jesus did, indeed, exist and that he was a Rabbi teaching the Torah, not that he was a liar. If your family taught you that Jesus was a liar then they are ignorant. Ignorance is no excuse for bad upbringing.

For every scripture you give for Jesus being the son of G-d, a good Jewish scholar can give you two that proves you wrong.

As a Jew, you have read the Torah and know it for the care put into it's every letter. Every letter has a numerical value, every word, sentence, paragraph, and book add up to a number. If one letter is changed in that book, the entire numerical value is upset, and the text is discredited. How can you compare that elegant arrangement with the poorly executed and constantly abused translations of the New Testament? I wish you well on your quest for meaning in your life, but must suggest that you may have gone off the path a bit.

You apparently never studied while you were a Jew. Jesus of Nazareth is not of the line of David and thus fails the Messiah Prophecy. You apparently never read any of the Judaic laws of heritage and most of the Christians have never heard of them.

Bible was written hundreds of years after Jesus' supposed death. I say supposed because the Romans have no record of his existence. Will you believe in Santa? The answer is yes if you believe any religion.

The ancient Israelites were the closest to God.God chose them to be His people. All He ever asked was that He be recognized and all those other wooden false gods be cast out as rubbish.Jesus is a God,In fact Jesus is second in command,Jesus is firstborn of all creation,Jesus helped God to creat every living thing. God decided to sent Jesus down to earth by the Holy Spirit, to be born a perfect man so that our sins can be forgiven. Jesus told the Rabbi's there at the temple if you cannot believe the things you have seen me do and the words you have heard me say, How can you believe the things in Heaven, that you can not see? Millions of people around the earth are learning about Jesus. Soon Jesus is returning to rule all of mankind . Millions of Jewish people will be resurrected.Along with millions of muslims. All those called out of the memorial tombs will be resurected to a judgement. The devil will be put away. All will be allowed to serve the God Of Abraham. AMEN

In chapter seven of Isaiah, it talks about a child that is going to be born.

In chapter nine, it talks about a child that has already been born.

I wonder what is in chapter eight?

I wonder why the Christians never mention that particular chapter, but just flip to the New Testament nativity stories instead?

Hmmm...I wonder why that is?

I wonder why they continue to base their English translations of those particular chapters on the known-to-be-faulty Greek manuscripts, instead of the Hebrew manuscripts, while translating most of the rest of the Book from the Hebrew?

Reminds me of the game the con men play with the tourists. The one with the three eggshells.
