Why not make an appearance every now and them? Then the pretty much the whole planet would know they were real, and we'd be pretty peaceful. Why let all the wars and death go on when it could be fixed by a simple appearance? Don't say "you must have faith" because that doesn't answer the question. If a god were real, why would you need to have faith when you could have proof?

Excellent question. Why would he be so obtuse? Why would he only reveal himself to a minority of the earths population if he loves us so much. So far I have not seen a decent answer to this question. People, THINK!

It sounds like you would like to make God a "superman" type of hero. Having him appear every now and then would soon become expected in your times of trouble. It would take away the need for your "own conscious efforts" to choose between right and wrong, moral and immoral as you would simply think that if you made the wrong choice and got into trouble God would swoop down and rescue you.
You see, God knows who He is, He is asking that you learn who you are by having faith in Him. Are you looking to put the weight on someone else to influence your choices, or can you make the right choices yourself? That part in the movie "Bruce Almighty" where God instructs Bruce the only part of life he could not change or mess with was "free will" is such a real statement to me.
The "proof" of God is around you everywhere, you simply have to choose to see it.

God is not hidden. Just because you can't see Him doesn't mean He's not there. If you were to look upon the face of God, you would die because He is so bright. If God were around for everyone to see, what would make you worthy of Heaven? You can't say- if I know there's a God I'll be good. You need have faith- it's true- and do what He would want because it is pleasing to Him and it helps you in the long run. There is nothing in His law that was put there to limit or hurt us. They are not a list of rules just because. They enhance the experience of life. They give us a better assurance that things will go smoothly.

He has in the form of Christ and will to those who repent and turn to him . The issue of wars and suffering is constantly mentioned by Atheists and some Christians but it is the fact we have freewill and choose to rebel . We are not just biological machines we can make choices.sadly it seems to be many wrong ones.

Excellent question. You will never get a good answer to this. I predict most people will blame you. Because everything is our fault, didn't you know that? We never even asked to be born, but we were born sinful and now we live in the realm of Satan, so anything good that we can't accomplish (like seeing invisible beings who may or may not answer our prayers but either way they're absolutely right)...it's our fault. I think I'll go flagellate myself.

The proof of God is everywhere and you know it. If you want the answers, go to the source, read the Holy Bible. Get a plain English translation so you can understand what you are reading.

The scripture teaches they saw the works of God with their own eyes: coming out of Egypt, crossing the Red Sea, being fed Manna from heaven and they still did not believe. they heard the voice of God and they still did not believe.

In spite of all of that, God showed Himself in the person of Jesus and they still do not believe. And He still shows Himself to day in the person of true believers and they still do not believe.

He does not hide; it is those that do not believe that cannot see Him.

God has never hidden Himself from us. It is we who are not sure if we want to know the truth that creates the confusion. Have you ever asked yourself if there might be a part of you that isn't sure about wanting to know? Be prepared if you are brave enough to answer this question, the answer is sure to surprise.

First of all, God Bless you for your seeking heart...

God HAS revealed Himself....through nature, through the prophets, through the ministry of Jesus, and through the revelation of His Word in the Bible.

But I think you are looking for a deeper answer than that. God gave us free will--and part of that means that we can choose NOT to believe. Now God could simply remove all doubt from the equation, like you say, and reveal Himself all at once and for all to see. But what would that do to free will? How could you refuse to obey that kind of revelation?

God wants our freely given obediance and love. That's why He sent Jesus--by removing the barrier of sin, all we have to do now is BELIEVE. It's a weak analogy, but it's kind of like my kids. I want them to obey me, and understand that I have their best in mind when I discipline them or tell them no. Now I can fix every problem they get into for them, but is that helping them to grow? Or is it truly better to let them make some mistakes, but be there for them to lean on, and learn from? Which way do you suppose makes for better, more mature, and more trustworthy children?

Like I said, no analogy is perfect, but I think this is as close as we humans can get to understanding the reasoning of an omniscient God who has an eternal perspective. Hey, flawed as I am, if I can perfectly understand the all-knowing, everlasting Creator of all things--that's not a god worth worshipping!!!

I pray for you and others like you who are seeking the TRUTH will find it. God will ultimately reveal Himself---but if you are not ready, it will not go well for you. Be ready, for NO MAN knows the hour of the Lord's return.

As far as needing proof, if that is what you require, two things come to mind. Talk to some real Christians who have had their lives changed RADICALLY by their encounter with the living Jesus. The second way is to humble yourself before God, and pray that He will reveal Himself to you. If you are serious and sober-minded, He will do just that. Looking for proof without being willing to BELIEVE is like looking for bacteria in a microscope slide without opening your eyes. The bacteria are there, whether you believe or not. The only way to see for sure is to open your eyes. Pray for God to open your eyes to His handiwork--all of creation cries out His name.

God Bless you, and keep seeking!

ps...after seeing what you added, I understand...in order to understand the Bible, you need the Holy Spirit's counsel. Reading the Bible without the Spirit is like reading a pharmacological textbook without the years of study required to understand it. You can read the words, but they don't make sense. Same with the Bible. It confounded me for years also. But all I had to do was believe, and the Spirit revealed the Truth to me. Probably won't convince you, but if you are sincere about your questions, and you sincerely seek the Truth, He will reveal Himself to you.

God is everywhere. You just have to look. Why let all the wars happen? Its called free will. We don't have to fight wars. We choose to. Death is a natural part of life. Its not a bad thing.
