there are many who 'want' the gift of prophecy but for their own 'use' as telling things for their own glory or knowledge and not be be a vessel for God to speak. I have heard false prophecy and i have heard true prophecy as well. and I totally agree..... when God speaks thru a prophet/one with the gift of prophecy... it is something that is relevant and it will come to pass. AND it must line up with scripture.. if it is outside of God's Word, I believe it is false as well
satan deceives many Christians as well as nonchristians. the best gift to have is that of discernment..... so that the Spirit can guide you in truth in all matters

Having been a Christian I would say that we do not always possess the intelligence or the insight to know who is speaking absolute nonsense. I have no earthly idea where this idea of the rapture came from (and yes I have studied) so I just need to say that I think the whole thing is a lie made up to boost people's fear and also to create divisions among other religions. I really hate to be this blunt (I'm a Buddhist now) but sometimes I feel I have to call it as I see it.

Apparently this "prophet" hasn't heard that there will be huge Christian gatherings in Nashville and Rio de Janeiro (and who knows maybe other places) on 7/7/07. Unfortunately this happens, I remember 88 reasons the Lord will return in 1988, a "prophecy" that he would return in 1991, and bad research that he would return in 1994. Sadly, people believed them and sold all their homes and belongings. Jesus did warn us this would happen, so it's important to pray for discernment.

Everytime they ring my bell or leave their literature on my door step. No Iam not deceived by anyone. The Holy Spirit points out the false prophets and churches and words.

Amen. The rapture won't happen until after the rise of the Antichrist and the tribulation anyway, and those things obviously haven't happened yet.

I stick with the Scriptures.
"...if they speak not according to this Word it is because there is no light in them".(Isa.8:19)"

Yes, you are one of them. All I had to do was check the Bible to know that you have no divine basis to stand on, therefore your a liar, and a heretic.

How do you know who is false prophet and who isn't?
The one who suits your desires and beliefs is real and the one who doesn't must be false?
