I mean Jesus promised salvation to those who accept him, well this is what all these christians tell me, and they also say that bad deeds or good deeds don't affect your judgement, so that means it's possible for any horrible person to get to heaven because of their belief.

Basically, this is true. The idea behind it is that we are all sinners, every day in some way. The Bible says that no man gets to heaven through his own deeds. So, just being good or bad won't get you there. The Bible promises that people who believe in Christ, take him as their saviour, can get to Heaven. So, on his deathbed, a murderer (or such) can really be sorry for his sins, really believe in God and Christ, and really have as much chance to get into Heaven as the rest of us. If you read the parable of the 11th hour, it will explain this better than I can.

It is true that Christians believe that God loves us and accepts us as we are, even when who we are is not pleasing to Him. However, this is not some sort of an eternal "get out of jail free" ticket. Being in a loving relationship with God is like being in a loving relationship with a parent - you want to do what pleases that parent, and so you make sincere efforts to do the right thing and be worthy of the trust that has been placed in you.

Not having a good relationship with God is again similar to a parent-child relationship. The parent loves the child, regardless of the bad things that the child does (drugs, gangs, theft, etc. - how many times have you seen the parents of those kids on TV, distraught over their child's actions?) They won't support the child's drug habit - they disprove of the behavior - but they still love the child. If the child changes their ways - gets off the junk, gives up the gangsta life, etc. - the parent will certainly accept that child back with open arms.

That is illogical thinking. If "horrible" people were accepted into heaven, then who would be destoyed at Armageddon?

God only requires a small number of anointed, faithful people who are selected from among mankind, to rule with his Son Jesus, in the heavenly government. All others receive the prospect of living forever in perfection here on earth.

One requirement to be able to rule in heaven is this:

"Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days (the #10 meaning completeness or entirety). Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life." Revelation 2:10

"Horrible" people do not meet that or any requirement needed to be selected to reign in heaven.

When a person accepts Christ as Savior and Lord by faith he becomes a new creation. Old things are gone everything is made new. Part of the evidence that a person is a Christian is that his behavior changes. He starts on the path of conforming body and soul into the image of Christ. Is being a nasty horrible person and a Christian possible. Yes, but not for long... Jim

A misconception at best. No horrible human personality can enter into heaven. Period.
Evil beliefs are part of the seeming mortal appearance of man, while harmonious and good belong to immortal man, the true image of God.

The bible, which is Gods word, states that ALL have sinned and that Jesus died so we ALL might be saved. God loves each and every person, and if they accept him and live for him and do what the bible commands then they should go to heaven. (this doesn't mean if you know that you can go to heaven if you only repent that you should go and rob a bank, you should always be prepared.)

By God's standard, we are all "horrible" people. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. What makes you think you are any better or different?

And just where would you put the "cut off" point of who should and shouldn't be allowed into heaven, provided that they were truly repentant of the wrong they've committed?

Hi.

Well real acception of christ takes out the HORRIBLE in someone, cause from that moment on, you are someone new.

Does that mean that if you are in jail, you will get out? That if you are ill because of a sin you will be heal?

That´s something that only god knows, and only God can decide.

Take care

Kinda crazy when you think about it huh? So the guy that rapes and molests children all his life, can at the last second, accept Christ, ask for forgiveness, and TA DA!!! He gets to go to Heaven? Just another reason to question the whole religion

Christ said "by their deeds you will know them". Obviously, more than just belief alone is required to enter heaven. However, it is God's job to figure out who qualifies - not us.
