Deof Movestofca: It's a matter of fact versus fiction here I'm afraid.

I wasn't being specific about which beliefs... I still think some of the earliest Bible texts date to around the middle Bronze-age.

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek." Romans 1:16

TUT, TUT!
TUT!
Actually the earliest dates that can be given to the Bible stories is the early Iron age. It is the only time that the place names match with inhabited places.

I doubt if that is what you wanted to hear but you have an atheist answering.

Do you ever feel ashamed clinging to the bronze-age belief that 1+1 = 2? I say it should equal 3 instead and since my idea is newer, it must be better. Or maybe calendars, however good they may be for telling us the year, aren't such good tools for determining truth.

I do not believe in superstitions.
Also, what bronze age are you referring to?
This statement regarding the BronzeAge is from the link provided.
"Chronologically, the term is of strictly local value, for bronze came into use, and was again replaced by iron, at different times in different parts of the world. It generally succeeds a culture's Copper Age."

What is hilarious, and that you do not realize, is that many of the so-called scientific 'facts' of today, will be considered foolishness in less than 25 years.

Religion didn't come from the bronze age. It goes all the way back to the stone age.

Hahah! Funny question...........soon there will be more like us. It's just a matter of time and the world is intertwined more than ever. So our understanding for everything is coming together. Had it not been for internet access, many of you would still be sure that Christianity is the only religion on earth.
