So, I met this dude that had recently been in jail. I had talked to him for a while and, to make a long story short, he is a minister at a local church and has been arrested numerous times (has been to prison, even) and the people at his church keep accepting him back as their minister. Assuming he wasn't just blowing smoke up my a$$, are the people who run church, in general, that leniant with people like that? All of his charges were mostly DUI related, but if it had been someone with a non-church related job, I'm sure they would have taken disciplinary action, perhaps even termination.
So tell me, is this something that normally happens in the church under circumstances like these?

Any places? I want to go somewhere where I can reflect. I am Christian.
I was thinking of Lourdes and staying at a convent for a week if possible, but I really don't know much about this.

1st Timothy 3-2 where it says an overseer (which means also in old language pastor, minister, bishop, deacon) must be the husband of one wife. Any women pastor that contradicts the Bible and says man made it up should know that God is Almighty and would not allow man (nor woman in that sake) take his Word away from him. If you don't believe that, then you don't believe God is Divine. Other is Paul in 1st Corinthians 14 clearly explaining that women should be silent in church. I believe men and women are equal, but I do NOT believe that women should be pastors. Paul explains it, and if you even think about scientifically, the man is automatically the leader of the household (or at least should be). Please no rude remarks, if you don't like what I wrote, just press the X button in the top hand corner of your screen or the back button, but it's truly hard for me to understand how people can justify THE BIBLE and especially them being a pastor. Any explanations or comments?

I am beginning to suspect that I have a previous lives...

I'm in my early 20's and find that I have and have had an aptitude for many things that should take some training or experience to do as well as I do. I can't help but feel that I have had combat training at some point.

How does one learn more about Past lives/reincarnation?

Could somebody explain the difference between someone called Jewish because they are of the Jewish religion, and someone who is called Jewish because that is their ancestory?

Lets say somebody is born Christian. I know it is possible to convert to Judaism. So if they do they are considered Jewish right?

What about people born Jewish who lose their faith? I think i have heard them refered to as 'non-practicing jews". It just that i dont know any Christians who lose the faith that a reffered to as 'non-practicing Christians'.

I mean no disrespect and i'm sure somebody will explain to me the big, simple piece that i am missing.

As I grow older in age and in my walk with the Lord I find it useless to compare myself to what others have, this has been a process the Lord has brought me through, but I want to know how I can continue to be more content and not so attacched the wordly principles and things of this world. What are good godly ways to achieve this?

I am a student youth leader at my church. I have a teenager that I talk with, and he/she posted this on their page:

Why is no matter what i do i always seem to

SCREW

everything up thats good in my life???

I want to give them good, Biblical advice. I've thought of David and Job, but that just really don't apply much. Can anyone give me some scriptures to look up for my friend. They aren't too familiar with being a Christian either.

It seems like two people not being able to date because of religion is as foolish as fighting a war over it. I was raised an extremely radical christian and am now my own happy creature of god in my own little happy way. I dont understand why people cant break through these silly lines and everyone just enjoy everyones company. I am in love with a good to do christian, but she will only love me so much because of my wacky belief system. I know I am about to get swarmed with responses from the christian folk saying, "Welp, christians should only marry christians if they are really christians." Can someone please make sense of being so radical about a belief that it is worth the separation of two people that are otherwise perfect for one another? Also, was that a run-on sentence?
