Didn't jesus say: Mat 5:17 Think not that I came to destroy the law or the prophets: I came not to destroy, but to fulfil.

Why do you destroy the law By eating pork....etc?

What I mean is that if there was a prism of religion, would Islam and Buddhism be on the opposite ends of the extremes and all other religions fall somewhere in between?

that many of your own decisions are based on past events, and these same events in the past affect the way you act today, have you really got " free-will " or are you simply a robot programmed to respond based on what has happened to you in the past. where does free will fit in to this picture?

We don't need religion. We don't need old, irrelevant, biased corrupt doctrines, we don't need a set of rules, we don't need corrupt officials of the church telling us how to live. Lets get rid of the churches, all of the bibles, everything. Just love God without all of that extra nonsense that is garbling the message all up and preventing peace on earth.

We need to throw all of that in the trash because all that matters is we start loving everyone and healing the world right now- no more religion. You can love God but love your neighbor the same way you love God.

All we need to do to heal the world right now is to stop talking about how and why and just do it- we all know how, we don't need anyone to tell us how, and religion is just getting in the way.

hi,

I've always wondered.

i've heard lectures about these religions(separately) where the speaker recounts some verses with referance to the prophets something to the effect of : this man is not an outsider, he is one among you with your language and culture, listen to him :
This line is what I think a PR exercise during the initial phase of the religion.

Then, how could europeans(mainly) become christians and asians(mainly) become muslims? The language and culture preached is totally different.Alien.

Also, how could they accept some god of some distant land? What psychology?

The missionaries must have been really really good.

It is strange.

Im wondering what the big problem is about things such as Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon? All religions have their own sacred scripture and leaders. Why do they escape similar criticism?

We will never know how much knowledge was lost when the self righteous ignorant jihadists conquered the weakend and far far far superior civilizations of greece, egypt and india but today its very clear that with every inch of ground muslims violently tear away, more of humanity sinks back into caveman times.

Despite having the means to end Islamic horrors, pacifict idealogies continue to create the political opposition necessary to support Islam or, intolerance itself....

At what point do we chose humanity..at what point do we strip away naïve religious assumptions about Gods peace and finaly end Allahs hate.

As an agnostic, my only quarrel with Christianty is its pacifist morality...the trojan horse of Islams grotesque jihad.

I love finally realizing that God isn't just my perseption of Him.He is big enough to extend out of my little narrow minded world of who He is! It is so freeing! I no longer have to worry about people who don't think just like me and such. I always thought that God didn't have favorites,I just didn't get how! I now really believe it!

Why do so many Christian believe that if you do not follow their "One True God" you are evil and immoral until you are saved? I have NEVER believed in the Christian God. I was raised and continue to believe in the old pagan ways. And I am not talking Wicca, which is a new religion. I believe that the plants and animals all have souls, and should be respected, that sexuality should be free to the person to decide (not just homo/hetero, but also how many partners etc.) But I have also spent years teaching children to read and write. I helped to build 6 houses for Habitate for Humanity, I was in a branch of the peace corps helping to educate special needs children. I am married, and my husband has been my only partner ever (personal choice not religious) And all this I do because I want to. I don't believe that I will go to hell. So why do people feel that non-Christians have low morals and are "evil"? and what happened to the whole "judge not lest ye be judged"?

I think the song basically says that if people where atheist and people were not separated by country borders, there would be peoace, "we would all live as one." Its true, there would be nothing to fight over, but it seems he was promoting atheism. What do you think? To read the lyrics, go here http://www.bluesforpeace.com/lyrics/imagine.htm .
