atheism tends to be more common among educated Americans. Many college professors have come out as atheists now that it's more acceptable to society to be an atheist. The vast majority of college professors are democrats. The vast majority of scientists deny creationism as a scientific theory. Is it just a coincidence that the educated portion of America tends to be more democratic while the more uneducated portion tends to be republican?

From the article:

In a speech at the convention, Larsen told those gathered that illegal immigrants “hate American people” and “are determined to destroy this country, and there is nothing they won’t do.”

"Illegal aliens are in control of the media, and working in tandem with Democrats, are trying to “destroy Christian America” and replace it with “a godless new world order — and that is not extremism, that is fact,” Larsen said. […]

Republican officials then allowed speakers to defend and refute the resolution. One speaker, who was identified as “Joe,” said illegal immigrants were Marxist and under the influence of the devil. Another, who declined to give her name to the Daily Herald, said illegal immigrants should not be allowed because “they are not going to become Republicans….”

Average lifespans are about 80 years, give or take, and we all know that unless you are proactive, the last 10 are usually slow going.

Do you feel like 80 years is enough time to really experience this life? To learn all that is learnable? To feel fulfilled? To become WISE?

I don't.

It seems to me that wisdom doesn't even start until after fifty. By the time you start to "get it" you're already losing it (ha ha!)

OK, Had my daughter baptized last week. And there were two comments that the priest said that struck me. He first referred do the my daughter as a "pagen" then he said that ..."a baptism is like an exorcism". What is that all about. I have been to many baptism's and i have never ever heard any priest say this.

If a baby is born with pure innocence, then how can a baptism be an exorcist?

How can you exorcise an innocent?
