Because we monkeys were put on this earth to wear hot pink bikinis. Yeah, but seriously, this question has been asked a million times, look it up in the archives; answer: because out of a whole species, only a few evolve; depending on their environment and their need to adapt; and humans don't come from monkeys, we come from the ancestors of monkeys; we have a common ancestor. We're more like apes( more relation), not monkeys.

Humans ARE as we speak, a KIND of Ape right now. Humans didn't "come from" monkeys. Human apes and the rest of the great apes that exist today have a common ancestor.

Response: ...First, humans did not evolve from any modern apes. We share a common ancestor with the other modern apes. An analogy I have found useful for some people is in the form of a question, "If you were born of your parents how can you have cousins?"

Secondly, there are no particular evolutionary targets- it is not the 'goal' of primates to become human.

Because man did not come from monkeys, we just share a common ancestor. An ancestor that no longer exists. Jeez people, would it really kill you to pick up a biology textbook for even a minute?

Because man didn't come from monkeys. If God created the world then why is there still God?

According to this belief we evolved from monkeys. So if someone says we came from dust then why is there still dust, what do you say to that? Well we aren't saying we evolved from dust, that is what God CREATED Adam from. I'm assuming you posted this question to contradict evolution. You don't need to bother, it does it plenty on its own.

The real question is, why aren't there various stages of half-monkey, half-humans today?

Everything in the world is either human or non-human. There is nothing that is neither and there is also nothing that is both human and non-human. There is no middle ground.

The "missing link" is missing for a reason. It does not exist now and it never has existed.

As unimaginative and ignorant this question is, it is very funny in light of the fact that it has been asked so many times recently. Can't you read? Obviously not.
