I have heard a bunch of people saying they had their prayers answered, but no examples of their prayers being answered were given. I find it hard to believe that if you just start praying that some force we can't even prove exists answers it.

The problem is the human mind. We remember when we were right and forget when we were wrong. You could pray for 100 things and remember vividly the 5 that "God" answered.

Perhaps God answered the other 95 with a "No" but you'd get the same response if you prayed to me, and trust, I am not God.

I have seen it happen. A prescription literally falls from the sky only after prayer. A man stops on the road to help me when stranded in a car before. My Mom getting a front row parking spot every sat at the commisary with 4 kids. There are a lot more to these stories. There are countless stories of prayer being answered. Some may say coincidence. God does answer prayer before it is asked on occasion but he also waits until you ask for other things. He proves he exists every time he answers these prayers. I would submit that prayer may be mankinds most powerful weapon. Be a prayer warrior.

I can see your point.
I can give some examples from my life if you like:
-I prayed that I would get through my depression in one piece. Yes I went to therapy for it too, but I did get through my depression.
- I prayed that I wouldn't drown during a bad swim I took while whitewater rafting, someone's kayak hit my in the head and they grabbed my life jacket
- I prayed that the guy I had a crush on in college would love me back. He never did, but now I'm dating a much better guy (sometimes the answer is no)
- I prayed for strength and calm when I was run off the road and pinned under my truck. The firemen said they'd never seen someone so coherent and cognizant after what I'd been through (and apparently with a rather morbid sense of humor)

Now I know you can (and probably will) discount these as coincidence, as the work of people (frequently the answer to a prayer is 'Well then get off your butt and do something, I've got your back') or as meaningless, but these were all answered prayers in the past few years of my life.
Oh yeah, forgot one
"God help me figure out what to do with my life."
That one is a good one. In the past six months all the pieces have fallen into place to get me back into college this fall. My boyfriend and I are moving to a new town. I have a new job. And I'm just about to finish my first novel. Still not sure where I'm gonna end up, but it's going to be fun finding out.

They say God answers prayers some times. Therefore whatever happens proves the existence of God

Because He does.
last year, a bunch of people I know felt called by the Lord to start a school. A non-denominational Christian School where Christ is the centre of all.
We had 4 months to do it. Do you think that is possible?
If you google "how to start a school" every answer you get will say minimum 2 years.
God did it in 4 months. Everything we needed - we had before we knew it. Computers, furniture, construction material, license (that especially - we were told - would take more than 6 months), teachers, students, staff, instruments, curriculum, equipment ALL BEFORE WE HAD A BUILDING. All the while we were being blown away by this provision, we were praying for the location. This was the biggest material thing that we needed. We received it on July 21st in the form of a closed public school that a benefactor purchased for us......
Here are just 3 stories of the smallest details that God provided for:
1) I (office manager) needed 2 clip boards for use in our office. I meekly asked for clipboards, and expected that I would have to go and buy some from the dollar store - that night, we received a shipment of what we knew were desks and filing cabinets (that's another story - we needed 4-4 drawer legal sized filing cabinets - we received 8), the truck was full of extra boxes which we whooped over! They were full of pencils, staplers, paper punches, clips, tape dispensers..... and 2 beautiful deluxe heavy vynil clipboards.... And that's not all - we opened another box and there were 12 more of them!
2) The grade 5,6,7,8 kids all wanted lockers. We told them it probably wasn't possible but to pray for them. 2 days later, we received a call from a christian centre in town - they wanted to get rid of 2 banks of lockers and heard about us.... did we want them?
3) Our office is continually in need of paper, stamps, pens, tape, paperclips etc.... all small things that add up. We recieved it all!

And that's the tip of the iceburg.... read about it here www.onarock.ca you'll get a charge out of it!

God is good ALL THE TIME!

blessings :)

They say it because it is true. I was gobsmacked when my first simple prayer was answered..there was no way it could have been coincidence nor could it have been anyone else. Now I know with no doubt at all that God hears me and He answers...I also know that God answers in His time and in His way...He knows what we need..and gives us that instead of what we want..He knows what is best for us..He knows why He answers some prayers immediately..and why some will not get theirs answered in this life..but will get them answered after this one is over.
I think that even non believers at times have prayed..without believing there is a God..but they are desperate..and decide to give it a try..many of them have written books on this being a turning point for them to become believers.

Believe what you want....

But God has answered mine, and the prayers of thousands if not millions around the world. Oh ye of little faith.

Gazoo? Trust me, that little experiment is wrong. If not then i have had a heck of lot of coincidences happening.

First of all Gazoo, did the ppl call on the elders of the church? No. Were the ppl saved? Did the ppl have faith? There are so many more things that needed to have been tested before one could rule it out.... and to think i like science.

Bob isn't perfect yet Bob's answer is totally in line with the present questioning in quantum mechanics that the mere remark adjustments the proper results of particular experiments. between the biggest problems with information is that the vast majority of human beings that use them don't have a clue about information. you're saying "we" have performed statistical finding out. in case you've been in contact as your use of the time period "we" shows the position are your outcomes? because you've not written your outcomes contained in the way a statistician might want to i'm suggesting you're using the time period "we" to point contributors of the human race of that you're also a member, or perchance you're using "we" to point you're making a huge distinction between those who believe in a prayer answering God and those who do not and also you're along with your self contained in the latter team. both way, you're making mere assertions that are literally not supported through authentic information. Your so-suggested as attempt is resembling a documentary I once suggested the position dissimilar non secular human beings were praying for particular terminally unwell human beings. This develop right into a television stunt that had no medical magnitude i'm afraid. For an attempt to be scientifically valid you ought to be able to regulate all of your variables and this develop into not something like a managed ecosystem.

If you are born again you have a direct link straight to the presence of God through his Holy spirit. I've been healed of addictions, emotional issues, have seen friends healed of diseases when the Docs said no chance..etc etc..we say God answers our prayers because we've seen God answer our prayers

I know God answers prayer, because He says He does.
To say He answers with a yes--no--or a maybe just isn't enough to show me that He does. I believe it because He says it--I really don't care what non-believers think of things they don't know.
