Matthew 6:24
No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Allah is the aramaic word that is translated as "God" in english. even the word God came to english from a germanic language whose name for God was gott. when it comes to theological hair splitting, many of the fanatical christian and islamic leaders would not want you to associate allah as god or god as allah. grammatically, they would both be wrong. the main difference between christianity and islam is what one believes about Jesus. is he merely a good man/prophet of God/Allah or was He the Son of God/Allah? the bible says to honor the Son and you honor the Father. the koran says to say not that Allah has a son. seems like they differ on the most monumental of issues. Jesus' name in hebrew means "God saves" and that He does. to have Jesus in your heart, the spirit of God (not necessarily in a trinity sense) would have had to have moved upon your soul first. because those who knew the Son (that is recognized who Jesus was) already knew the Father. both the Bible and the Koran state that "God is one."

I once argued that Pascal's wager necessitated that you accept every god as real, that way all your bases were covered.
It wasn't a popular idea.
