I believe in God because everything He created shows the wisdom of a Supreme designer. All living things are designed and thus needed a designer. And what an incredible designer God is! (Revelation 4:11; Psalm 36:9)

Plus no need to worry about the sun and everyone on earth dying:

*The sun will always come up!: Genesis 8:22 says: "For all the days the earth continues, seed sowing and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night, will never cease."

*And God will never allow the earth to be completely ruined where it cannot be inhabited: Psalm 104:5 says: "He has founded the earth upon its established places; It will not be made to totter to time indefinite, or forever." (Ecclesiastes 1:4; Isaiah 45:18; Revelation 11:18)

The core question to ask is, "Do you believe in souls?" If not, then your point is valid. However, the next point to make would be that not believing in something doesn't make it not true. So, are you 100% convinced there is no soul, and therefore, no God, or is there a chance that you might be incorrect in your belief. If so, then you must explore further possibilities. If there is a soul, is it separate from the body? No? Then, if the sun doesn't come up tomorrow, the soul would indeed perish with the body. However, if the answer is, "Yes, the soul is separate from the body." Then, again you raise many further points to consider. Such as, if the soul is separate from the body and the body perishes, does the soul survive?

My point being, instead of spouting a half-hearted attempt at cynicism, try to actually thing logically and rationally about the concept of Spirituality.

My Grandmother told me, "you come from right here, then she told me how the Creator made us from earth". I was told how everything is interconnected and that we are related to all Universe seen and unseen.

I did become an Atheist, but one day in a sweat lodge ceremony, I seen small lights floating in the dark, Mother Earths Womb, and at that point, I realized I cannot explain those lights. No way to explain lights doing that, no beam and so forth.

It was then I realized God must exist, that since I seen the lights, then so too, God exists.

Since that time, I have seen other things, I probably cannot duplicate my results so others can experience the same thing, but I did observe these things as a scientist.

It is what that is behind the sun that is important : )

So, as opposed to being totally objective, I see how my people who were Hunters and Gatherers were really eclectic biologists, who in their own right were scientists. Coming from the soil sounds much like a sort of evolution and the interconnection, also fact. : )

For me, voices, spirits making them self seen, and so forth, are all evidence as to why I believe in the Creator. : )

That is why it is understandable to me why some do not have faith, and some others who do. I have met no Christians who have seen these sort of things but their faith is strong and I think good.

It is the radical right who is the bogeyman....

Ok, knock it off- you're obviously an atheist trying to jam his self-righteous thumb in the eye of people who are, admittedly foolishly, trying to create a sense of purpose and hope and community for themselves. And I agree with you. Reincarnation? What happens if every human was wiped off the planet by nuclear war? If the Earth was hit by a meteor? There have been THOUSANDS of religions throughout man's history, all claiming to be THE truth, which simply cannot be. There's never been logic behind belief in any one; they've all relied on a lack of scientific knowledge and the sheep-like behaviour of the masses. And, violence and shunning for "non-believers." However, yes, in todays modern age, belief in the Judeo-Christian Angry-Man-In-the-Sky or any other god is truly foolish. If there are higher powers at work in the universe, I'm sure our petty consciousness and sensory organs would not be able to detect them- or, said powers/creatures would be as unconcerned with us as we are by bacteria on our teeth. Using the orderliness of the universe ("How can there NOT be a god, when, like, we're so comPLEX?!) to prove god's existence is a moot point- we KNOW evolution exists, and just because we can't fathom how much time it took for us to get to this state doesn't mean that isn't how it happened. We are amazed by the patterns in the universe because we are creatures who work and survive by categorizing and understanding patterns. It's us, not the universe that is as we see it. So, no god can save us from the sun staying down. But asking obnoxious self-serving self-righteous questions isn't going to change anyone's beliefs. Ya jerk.
P.S: If the sun don't rise, I'm still holding out hope for Ra's grand return.

But one day, the sun will come up and I will die. But God will still be seated in heaven. And my eternal spirit will be saved through Jesus! And then I will be in Sonlight forever.

Because it's been engrained in my consciousness since the day I was born by my parents and society. I guess it's just easier to believe than not to.

He put it in me to be able to believe.
