Then why did he do it? Maybe he did not do it but he was sentenced to death penalty in treason and got it?

Don't tell me because he loved us/..... Give me a logical reason.

I heard on the news today of a new "eathlike planet" called Gliese 581C. It made me wonder, would God let humans move to other planets? And what would it do to your faith if it happened?

The Bible informs us that Moses,David & Paul were all murderers--yet their writings make up a great deal of the Bible.
MOSES
http://ancienthistory.about.com/od/exodus/p/Moses.htm
Moses struck the Egyptian and killed him, with the beaten Hebrew as
a witness. The pharaoh learned that Moses was the murderer
and ordered his execution.
KING DAVID
http://ggreenberg.tripod.com/david-book.htm
The Sins of King David creates a different and altogether
fascinating and thrilling portrait of the man. Gary Greenberg
shows King David for what he really was—deceitful and corrupt,
a traitor to Israel, a widely despised tyrant who lacked for justice,
and a murderer. From the slaughter of seven sons of Saul, whom he
hung, and the death of Goliath, who he did not slay, to the murder
of one of his most loyal lieutenants, whose wife he seduced,
he was not the man that history emdbraced.
PAUL.
http://www.bible.ca/s-Dahmer.htm
Apostle Paul was also guilty of murdering the innocent. He was
primarily responsible for the stoning of Stephen in Acts 8.
Moses,David,Paul.

good news is that " Moses, David, and Paul were all murderers whom God rescued
and restored to great blessing and service."

Think of it: we are one planet of 8, around one star of 300,000,000 in our galaxy, and our galaxy is just one galaxy out of 300,000,000 or so. That is a LOT of chances -- think of each star system as a dice roll to get a planet with the building blocks of life. If Earth did come about randomly, then how many stars would one expect to need to get one system that has an Earth? How does 3 x 10 to the 25th power star systems sound? Maybe that's enough for the physics governing our universe to create one or a few Earthlike planets that develop life? The alternative is that God created a universe like ours with hundreds of millions of galaxies, each with hundreds of millions of stars, each with several planets.... all for the purpose of creating one planet with humans? Why would he create so much, just to put us on one relatively insignificant little orb?

Okay, I just wanted to use that non-word one time. Sue me. By rights I should ask this in Biology I think, and I might later on, I just value your opinion.

Do you think self-awareness (like us homo sapiens have gained) could be a limiting factor on the more extreme (beneficial) mutations? By which I mean, we have this image of what a human should look like. 1 head, 2 arms, 5 fingers etc. Anything that falls outside that 'image' would be considered, well, a freak, with low chances of finding a mate. I could imagine that in non-self-aware species this would be less of an issue.

Are we hampering the free flow of mutation stacking upon mutation by self-aware selection, leaving room only for the more 'subtle' mutations? Would this be a natural step in species that gain self-awareness, a sort of fixating of external appearances? Or is that, too, something temporary? And is it a good thing?

Just wondering out loud, again, I would appreciate your thoughts on this.

I know I've asked this question before, but it's my favorite, and I like getting new views on it.

The more I think about it, the more I realize that my personal spirituality is more in line with songs such as "Strawberry Fields Forever" and "Breathe" than any dogma of an organized religion.

And when you get right down to it, is there any difference between reading the words written by man in the Bible and applying them to your life, or listening to the words sung by man on Dark Side of the Moon or the White Album and doing the same?

I'm not suggesting that I have alters to these musical artists or that I pray to them for guidance, more like I listen to what they have to say and think "Yeah... I can dig that."

What do you think of this? Wrong? Right? Crazy?

In closing, I'll leave you with my favorite scene from the movie Michael.

"Remember what John and Paul said."
"The Apostles?"
"No, the Beatles. All you need is love."

Human Sacrifice is evil, barbaric and well evil and disgusting and inhuman, and cruel. While you probably agree with everything I said on the line above you are not going to like this.Don't you believe that Jesus PBUH Sacrificed him-self to save you? Thus you let your Prophet or God in your case be sacrificed.... did he say plainly sacrifice me I want to die? NO>> he did not have a choice yet you believe that he sacrificed him self for your sins... Does that mean that human sacrifices clean other people's sins? after all even if we do go with Christianity and say that Jesus (PBUH) was god, spirit, and son in one (trinity) even then you could touch and he ate and every thing so he was a HUMAN in the END.he was Flesh and blood just like the rest of us.Please Shed some light. I don't mean any offense and I know some people are going to take it anyway so I want to apologize in advance.. "I am deeply sorry if I offended any one....

If some mentally disabled people are less intelligent than Koko the Gorilla, do you consider Koko to be 'more human' than they are?

The underlying consideration here is whether or not atheists seen logical perception or homo sapien genetics as the criteria for whom they respect and whom they don't.

The first says that upon death, the soul leaves the body and joins God in heaven to await the resurrection.

The second says the soul and the body are one and you remain in the grave until resurrection.

We are currently studying this in my God and Human life class and I am interested in other view points of this theology and the Scriptual basis for these ideas.

let all souls know that the mercy of God is infinite and that even if our sins were more numerous than there are grains of sand, and if our sins were as scarlett, still they will be burn like hay in the great furnace of His love, all he asks from us is to trust in Him, and accept His gift of grace. This message is for all who feel that it's hopeless and for all that are affraid of God because of their sins. Know all of you that God is a God of love and that if we just trust in him, He will be there for us in the midts of all our troubles and tribulations, and in the hour of our death.

The mercy of the Lord is like a fountain that fills the soul with peace and joy. This world needs Him today more than ever.
