It wasn't God, wasn't the devil, it was just a good old American band that came along at a time when the Brits were kicking our collective butts in the rock-n-roll music industry. Love Em! Always have, Always will!! P.S. Danielle; it was regarded as Satan's music by christians in the 70's! I heard my Mother and her friends call it that many times. Televangelists still refer to it that way today.

Actually, Petra said that. Kiss stole it from them for the closing credits to Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey. But I believe God gave rock and roll to me. As for everyone, I couldn't really say.

It's not necessarily the style or genre of "Rock and Roll" that is wrong...it's the lyrics that decide that.

Music is just a tool used to communicate a message and/or feeling/emotion.. Like ANY tool it can be used for good or evil..

For example...my car is a tool..I can use it to help the poor, run someone to the hospital, etc...the same tool can be used for evil..intentionally running over someone..a getaway car, trashing a neighbors yard with it..etc

Is rock and roll for everyone, NO. the style of music is like food..it is subject to the individual's taste.

by the way, I prefer...classic Bedrock..LOL

They were ALMOST right, Ms. Superhero.
For the many who LOVE rock music,(or any music for that matter) it is a gift from the gods, or else why would the word 'universe' mean: one song?

Back in the '50s it was regarded as Satan's music. Even further back, in the 1920s, upbeat music and dancing were considered sinful.

The rock was rolled away ...and he was gone.

Eye saw them with Uriah Heep years ago in my drug days.

No. Rock and Roll is a hybrid of white country music and African American music.
