Jesus Christ taking our place, our punishment on the cross- for OUR sin- is nonsense?
Someday you will not be thinking that.....it is just sad it will be too late when that day comes.
I could not even imagine my life without Christ- to know that He died for me- he took my place, because we all sin! He has NO sin! And He defeated death, which means he did not have to go to hell- nor do we when we put our faith in HIM! That is what salvation is! We have the victory OVER death through Jesus Christ! Only He can defeat death- and we who are saved have defeated death through Him. He deserves all the glory-- Don't ya think?
Praise Jesus!

OK, I have seen the light and accepted Jesus into my life as my saviour. I am happy that I will be going to heaven now.

But which is the correct type of Christianity? There's so many different types - Roman Catholic, Protestant, Baptist, Methodist, Orthodox etc. Which is the right one? I don't want to pick the wrong one in case I go to hell...

Is that not BARBARIC? If God loves you then if you sin why could not we ask for forgiveness?
like in Islam if we sin * which every human does except all the prophets who were innocent* we ask for forgiveness... We don extra prayers, we read the Quran more often and we ask God to forgive us.........
We don't kill some one or something to get rid of our sins... thats extremely selfish if some one thinking clearly...
Is self defense a crime?
in fact:
“The greatest crimes, the greatest “sin” of Mohammed in the eyes of Christian West is that he did not allow himself to be slaughtered, to be “crucified” by his enemies. He only defended himself, his family and his followers; and finally vanquished his enemies. Mohammed’s success is the Christians’ gall of disappointment… He did not believe in any vicarious sacrifices for the sins of others.” (Edward Gibbon, Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire.)

One could say that the wizard (some dumpy lil man behind a curtain trying to look bigger than he is) is god and Glenda (telling her that she really knew the way all along) was the voice of reason leading her to think for herself. I may just have too much time on my hands and these lil mcdonalds toys in my office are really getting to me....

Matt 18:18
"Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be boud in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven"
What is this referring to? What can be bound in heaven? Who has the power to bind things?
I don't care what your faith is, I would love thoughts from everyone.

Why is it that (some) people make these ridiculous statements and believe in their religion without any questioning or any thought. It’s like they just can't think for themselves and so recite verses from their holy book (what ever book that might be).

I really don't mind someone having their beliefs once they really can speak for themselves

And why are these same people speak with such certainty-It's a belief, not a certainty

Further more who is responsible for these people (because they aren't capable of being responsible for themselves).
Is it their local clergy, I suppose it is in the "institution’s" interests to keep these people ignorant.

Once again I respect people's beliefs (no mater what they are).

Liberated, enlightened people only please

On the contrary the Jews had a GOLDEN AGE in the Islamic Empire of Northern Africa (Morroco and Tunisia). Muslims protected them and they didnt even have to send any of their sons to battle. They were charged a "head tax" also called a "protection tax".

For the Jews this was one of the most peaceful times their history had recorded.

If you are interested then do the research or look at the good relations between Muslims and Jews before the advent of Radical Zionism.

Hey fellow Mormons. I have a problem. It has been in my mind for some time now. I know that God can be both kind and terrible, but I also know that He has given us our free agency. I read in "Joseph Smith, Rough Stone Rolling" by Richard Lyman Bushman that quote: "By delaying plural marriage, Joseph risked provoking God's wrath. Mary Rollins Lightner, one of his plural wives, later said Joseph told her about the pressure he was under. "The angel came to me three times between the year of '34 and '42 and said I was to obey that principle (of plural marriage) or he would [s]lay me." Others told the story with an additional detail: the angel held a drawn sword." Many affidavits by people like Joseph B. Noble, Benjamin F. Johnson to George S. Gibbs, make it highly likely that this story about the angel and the sword is not made up. I have problems reconciling this account with the doctrine of free agency. Help, please?

I'm a Christian (CoE) and beleive, as I have been brought up, tha God created the earth, and everything in/ on it.
However, our science course only covers the Big Bang and a meteorite hitting the earth with bacterium on it starting evolution. I feel a bit awkward thinking, "But, where's God on this diagram?" since i'm the only Christian (the rest don't think about Religion).

What can I do?
Should I just grin and bear it, despite going against my beleifs?

Who has input on the Mayan calender.

7 Macaws dying relative to the prominent 7 "element" in other religions.

A new consciousness when this calender ends, tired of going on and making more dates, or what?!

either the Old Testement Laws apply until the end of the world as Jesus said, or they don't because of what Paul said. Considering that Paul never met Christ, I don't see why he even made it into the bible in the first place, but nevermind that, can someone please clear this up?

Are you happy with what you did, you coward? It's so easy to sit behind a computer screen and wish people death. Why not get a spine and say these things in real life, and see how much longer you are walking? Shame on you for what you've done. What does everyone else think of this?
