I must admit that I am skepical about exact dates for the end of the world. I think new consciousness is already available for those who seek it sincerely in love and thought.

It is december 21 2012. And it does not mark the end but the begining of a new cycle. The Mayans timeline is not in a straight line like ours but time come comes in cycles. What has happened will happen again. Even as it lends to a destruction but then after the destruction comes a new beginning. This happens every 5000 years or so.

The problem isn't the prophecies, the real question is where we actually are in Time. In the big picture of time 100 years is small but beyond our life span. If 2012 is true it may be off a few years or maybe more.
I once heard that the Jewish calender is the time since earth settlers left their remnant behind. It's why they are seperate and have their owm ways.
We all know or calender is time since Jesus Birth.
What is the actual time since Time began?

December 23 2012, 9 am..we all go back to work... and December 26 2012, the credit card bills for December 25th 2012 start getting mailed out.

The way I feel of it is that sometime in future, this whole Christian-Muslim warfare that is going on, may reach new heights in it. And suddenly, something may Just May lead to both of their downfalls and all the time during the warfare, lots of people may die. and more and more people may just start questioning the justice and/or existence of God. So as the result of it, therefore, non-believers in big masses may rise, after that, God will again send many warnings to humanity in form of natural disasters. But in return, they will all be ignored by humanity for they will be seen as results of changing global weather which occurred because of the Christian-Muslim warfare's newly reached heights! Believing in God and spiritual people may be start to be condemned. so some time around that when all this dark injustice has gone too far, has reached its peak(the darkest hour of humanity), will come God.
In the end, all that I have written is purely out of my heart and what I feel about things and I don't mean any disrespects or offenses to anyone.

The cool thing about the Mayans was their understanding of Astrology. Even if nothing happens here on earth that day there is an amazing astrological event taking place in our solar system. I'll find you a link.
