I was just wondering what side of the fence do Mormons typically sit on with regard to political views? I know Senator Harry Reid from Nevada is a Democrat, but Nevada is typically a conservative state so I was just wondering....I had Mormon friends growing up and I never really thought to ask then...

..... here is your mother." Was Jesus trying to be disrespectful to his earthly parents, or was He trying to tell them all along that His will was to establish a 'spiritual family' and not an earthly one? In Jesus' sight was Mary, his mother any different to any of the other disciples?

My best friend bought one..it's a plastic Milton Bradly boardgame. I didn't think anything would happen but it sure did. Now I trust this girl 100% that she wouldn't consciously move the planchett and i know I didn't do it.

The planchett did move and it was very creepy..do you think it really was a spirit/the other side or somehow our subconscious?? Or any other theories..?

Me about the stronghold of the devil and how to bring all evil imaginations into captivity of Christ. I have never felt the annointing of Gods presence or the teaching of someone truly annointed by God. I have seen actual demons flee from people and true manifestation take place. I have learned the key methods to spiritual warfare through prayer. Before I started going to this church my life was really messed up. I could sin with no conviction in my heart. It wasn't until I stepped foot into this church that I felt broken in spirit and gave my life to Christ. Imagine someone who could rob you blind, doing drugs, heavy drinking etc. the list goes on changing there ways in one day. The devil had a hold over my life so strong that I was literally working for him daily through persuading many others to do wrong. How many people would be interested if given the opportunity to visit this ministry. Just by hearing my true testimony of how God had his hand on me!

I say this because the ones in society who complain, whine
and are constantly on a Soap Box trying to make sure the world is so Politically Correct are the ones that reject Jesus Christ.

Christians, GOD and Jesus Christ are mocked constantly, we are told we profess *Hate Speech* are in-tolerant, holier than thou, the list is endless, yet we persevere on Maybe are thick skin is GOD's Armour that is why we can take the heat and never have to leave the kitchen..

"And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man (JESUS) will be forgiven, but anyone who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven." (Luke 12:10)

So...... we can Blashpheme one part of One God but not another part of the One God ?

Obviously God, the son and Holy Ghost are all three seperate entities at ONE AND THE SAME TIME which is a Tri-theism.

If the diety took three separate forms but not all three AT ONE TIME then we might call this diety a Triune God. But, how can you blaspheme the Holy Ghost and not blashpheme the son at the same time if they are all ONE ?

How can God know when the end time is coming but the son does not know if they are ONE and the same ?

In other words..... polytheism – Three separate entities that are independent of each other. When you have three gods which intertwine but are sufficiently separate then you have a Trinity comparable to Buddhism and maybe Hinduism.

The truth is that Paul introduced fundamental pagan ideas into Christianity and got away with it.

The original corruption of the texts are not the fault of Christians.... but NOW it is a duty for them to search for the truth. Dont accept the generic answer : "God is too compicated to understand" answer.

Every heart knows that God is one…. No partners, no children, no parents – One and only one.

Job 21

14 Yet they say to God, 'Leave us alone!
We have no desire to know your ways.

15 Who is the Almighty, that we should serve him?
What would we gain by praying to him?'

16 But their prosperity is not in their own hands,
so I stand aloof from the counsel of the wicked.

17 "Yet how often is the lamp of the wicked snuffed out?
How often does calamity come upon them,
the fate God allots in his anger?

18 How often are they like straw before the wind,
like chaff swept away by a gale?

19 It is said, 'God stores up a man's punishment for his sons.'

To LP question: "CHRISTians" etc. Best Answer
This is Jesus speaking, the head of the Christian congregation.-This is one of many places he speaks of 'his God'.-He is refering to his Father.-Jesus called his Father "the only true God" at John 17:3.-The Father is the one who "spoke aforetime by means of the prophets" Hebrews 1-This is the one called "Jehovah" nearly 7000 times in the Bible.-This name is written in ancient Hebrew with the four letters Yohdh He Waw He YHWH. It is the most frequently used noun in the Hebrew Scriptures!-Revelation Chapter 19 contains the expression Hallelujah four times. It means 'praise Jah!' Jah is an abbreviated form of the divine name Jehovah." People fight over the pronuciation of God's name but did not JEHOVAH know people would say his name quite different in other tongues. The pronuciation is not where the sin is at. If Jehovah did not want his name used, why did he have his faithful writers write it down near 7000 times? Jehovah wants it there!

I ask this quetion not to bring up the issue of abortion specifically, but because so many people like to point the finger and say that Christians are biased and bigotted and trying to force our beliefs because we are against things like abortion, and open homosexuality. It does not take a Christian to recognize immorality, sin, or whatever you want to call it, and there are many other faith's and even atheists who couldn't imagine doing some of the things which we allow, and even promote in our societies.

I guess that freedom of speech and the right to voice one's own opinion only applies to non-Christians, eh?

you credit with the ugly, inefficient, or goofy SHORTCOMINGS of the design of our planet / solar system / universe?

Isn't there a simpler way for the earth to relieve stress than earthquakes and volcanoes -- or just design a planet that doesn't build up such stresses at all?

Isn't it more sensible to make the healthy foods tasty (chocolate) and the unhealthy foods icky (brussel sprouts) -- or just design no unhealthy foods at all -- or just design bodies to do photosynthesis so people can spend less time eating and more time "accomplishing the Lord's great works"?

Isn't it more sensible to design bodies that get rid of wastes without the unpleasantness of sweating and excretory functions -- or just design bodies that create no wastes in the first place?

I could go on and on ....

So who do you credit with the UN-intelligent "Doh!" aspects of the rough draft design?

What is the Original sin? from what I have heard its that human race is immoral and we all do sins... is that it? if it is, and that is indeed why Jesus (PBUH) sacrificed himself....
But why? God made us...............If he made us original sinners then why did he feel the need to come down from heaven?
Because we did not choose to be sinners, god made us this way....
QUESTION OF FREE WILL?
well yes but Christianity argues that we are all sinners... And all humans EXCEPT Jesus (PBUH) are born sinners........

IS that right? do you not see the problem with that equation?

Jesus (PBUH) was a messenger of God Just like Mohamed (PBUH) was........ nothing more and nothing less...

Why do catholics and Christians try to use logic, when trying to prove Atheists wrong. Everything they believe is based of a completely illogical book, while what Atheists believe is based off thinking logically.
