On the contrary the Jews had a GOLDEN AGE in the Islamic Empire of Northern Africa (Morroco and Tunisia). Muslims protected them and they didnt even have to send any of their sons to battle. They were charged a "head tax" also called a "protection tax".
For the Jews this was one of the most peaceful times their history had recorded.
If you are interested then do the research or look at the good relations between Muslims and Jews before the advent of Radical Zionism.

It is good to know that not all Muslims are violent and that they were nice to the Jews during this "Golden Age". It is true that some Muslims hold to only the peaceful teachings of the Quran.
But tell me, what does the fact that some are peaceful have to do with changing the attacks against the United States-remember 9/11 and before 9/11? What about all of the beheadings of innocent reporters who were not attacking anyone? What about all of the Christians who have been killed in Indonesia who were not attacking anyone? What about all of the Sunni Muslims killed by the Shiite Muslims? What about the subway and hotel bombings in various places?
Why are the terrorists and suicide bombers not denounced but declared to be "martyrs"?

Islam Law (Shariah) protect the non-Muslim citizen who do not break the laws just like the Muslims.
If you call Tax as Mafia thing, then the whole Europe and USA are what..?? (since they took the Idea of Tax from Islam)

There have been many "peaceful times" for Israel, if you can call being subject to another nation "peaceful".

Right, the Koran says to fight them until they surrender and admit that Muslims are superior, and force them to pay a Mafia-style "protection fee" if they don't want to abandon their religion and join the cause of the Muslims.
So much for "let there be no compulsion in religion".
An oppressive tax which will only be forgiven if one DOES SOMETHING (eg. converts to Islam) is COMPULSION in action. Extortion has no place in evangelism.
