FYI: Suicide (Latin sui caedere, to kill oneself) is the willful act of taking one's own life. A suicide can also refer to the individual who has killed themself. Suicide may be caused by psychological factors such as the difficulty of coping with depression or other mental disorders. It may also stem from social and cultural pressures.

My father-in-law is a minister and I want to make a sign for his office door with one side reading he is in and the other for when he is out. I want it to be funny and clever, but clean and appropriate. The piece of wood I am using is carved in the shape of fish, so i'm thinking of maybe incorporating the verse about being fishers of men, but how to get that to relate to whether the minister is in or out of his office, I can't seem to figure out. Only helpful, sincere and serious suggestions here, this is important to me.

Have you ever noticed that painting of God up in the cloud reaching out to touch fingers with the man below? Well, in that painting God is really stretching out, trying to reach, the man is all kicked back relaxing, he does have his finger stretched out a bit, but that's it. Anyway, that painting always makes me think. Another question, is there anywhere online I can view all of the paintings there? I have looked and looked. I did find a place with a virtual tour, it sucks. Do I actually have to go there to see the paintings and the rest of it?

From the Bible?
Right now?

The first verse I thought of was:
Psalm 40:2
He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.

In 1950, 90% of people believed in a religion and 10% atheists. In 1975 it was 80% religious and 20% atheists. Today, the latest polls show 65% are religious and 35% are atheists. I feel confident and reassured that in the year 2050 people who believe in religion will be the minority! More and more people are waking up each day to realize that god does NOT exist and worship is a waste of time. When will you wake up and leave your god behind???

If we make reality around us, then all faiths are valid because they all have faithful who adhere to their traditions and project their belief onto the world.
Or
Is there a set standard to reality, we don't contribute to it, and the Truth is a stable thing that can be found and written about?

and the bible is from God, why wouldn't people in biblical times know about bacteria? I mean, why wouldn't God tell them?

Why not issue a warning in the bible, something like; " I god created microscopic organisms that can kill you, so wash your hands before you eat".
What does the limited knowledge of the people in biblical times matter, if the creator of the universe was the author of the bible?

P.S You can call my question stupid (like the guy who answered my last question) if you can't find a logical response.
