From the Bible?
Right now?

The first verse I thought of was:
Psalm 40:2
He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.

Aww Lucie! I pray part of that verse over my kids at night! I pray "Their sleep will be sweet" that the Lord would give them sweet sleep, and protect them. That is a great verse!

Proverbs 3: 24-26

When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.

Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh.

For the LORD shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.

LOL, I read the entire question, now I can't come up with an off-the-cuff answer like you wanted.

After reading about slime, mud and mire, I was immediately reminded of this verse:

Jeremiah 38:6 So they took Jeremiah and cast him into the dungeon of Malchiah the king’s son, which was in the court of the prison, and they let Jeremiah down with ropes. And in the dungeon there was no water, but mire. >>>So Jeremiah sank in the mire.<<<

How often do we all think we're cast into a muddy pit and forgotten? But Jeremiah was saved by an act of God (Who never forgets His children), and so shall we. I think of this verse whenever I feel down; I guess I'm strange, but it always lifts me up.

I keep this one on my desk:

Isaiah 40:31 "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."

That lifts me up no matter what the challenge of the day.
