I'm a 16 year old fully confirmed member of the Roman Catholic Church. I've been trying to renew my relationship with God, I don't feel as close to my faith as I was when I was only a kid growing up. And I feel like I have strayed from the path. What is the simplest way for me to come back to God? (I've attended mass every Sunday of my life since birth unless I was ill and I still do, but for some reason I don't feel as close to God as I used to, sometimes I feel like he doesn't care about me or what I ask of him in my prayers)

One of the 10 commandments says thou shall not kill (refering to humans) but Science theory of evolution states that we are no more significant than an ant other then we are more advanced. So when the 10 comandments says thou shall not kill that would have to be applied to all creatures because of the theory of evolution. What's your opinion on that?

Will the sun rise and set on that day? What will people be doing? Are there going to be families and friends enjoying each other? Will there be a man and a woman in love for the first time?
Will mothers and fathers kiss their children goodnight?

Keep in mind that only a few hours later, the entire universe and everything in it will be incinerated by fire, as prophesied in the book of Revelation.

I went to a website called JTF.org (or was it .com?) aka Jewish Task Force and they post pictures of dead palestinian children but in captions says "another PLO scum shot dead".

Does the Torah command for that or something? I know zohar does.

I know "you just gotta have faith" but that just doesn't work for me. Neither does some "holy book" that was written by many authors and I am just susposed to believe is the "word of god."

I am gay, and I am a Christian. I am strong in my faith...and regardless of what anyone says or does, they cannot steal God from my heart.

However, there are many in the gay community that have never heard about the love of God....they have never been inside of a church...and unless we can reach them, their blood will be on our hands.

Because of the nastiness, the hurtful rhetoric, finger pointing,name calling and judgemental attitudes..many gay people will turn a deaf ear to anything associated with religion...they will refuse to listen. When you mention religion with many gay people, the immediate connotation is not a good one. Religion is not seen as a positivie thing, nor are religious people seen as good caring people.

To borrow the words from another post...can we please show everyone the "face of Christ, and not the backhand of judgement"?
