The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints meet on Sundays, because this is the Lord's Day, the day that Jesus Christ rose from the dead and on which His disciples at that period assembled to worship and break bread in His name.

And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight. (Acts 20:7)
