John 10:30 I and my Father are one.

John 14:28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.

So many of my christian friends have betrayed me. It's so not fair. I have done nothing wrong, but now I only have a few friends left. Is it God's will? Hey! I'm hurting myself! Why me?!

The Bible says that when one speaks in tongues, there must be someone to interpret. But, I have a problem.
When I have heard this "speaking in tongues", it sounded like gibberish. I thought, how can one interpret gibberish? But somone always came up with what they said was the interpretation.
I always wondered, do you REALLY know what you're "saying"? Aren't you ever afraid that you are really cursing God? After all, Satan can disguise himself as an angel of light, so I would imagine he could also disguise himself as the Holy Spirit, making people say things that, if they really knew what they were saying, they would rather cut out their tongues than say it.
Do you speak in tongues? Interpret tongues? How do you know what you are saying, or that it's the truth?
What about where Paul says that one should seek the gift of prophecy rather than tongues, that tongues is only to edify the believers, or that UNKNOWN tongues is to be used only in the privacy of your room?

The human body is extremely intracate and the human brain is incredible. How could anyone think that the answer to our creation could be anything other then that, creation? Just interested in your thoughts. Blood flowing through our veins, the skeletal system, skin, the numerous "systems," breathing, it's all things that we take for granted or overlook on a daily basis but they are all so important for us to go about our days.

If the Greeks were the ones who translated...and the Catholic Church decided what books were put into the bible...and what was left out....don't you think we could have all been misled?
By translation and hidden books?

When Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit, why did God lie about what the outcome would be (Genesis 2:17,9) while the serpent told the truth (Genesis 3:5,22)?

In the battle of Badr, Muhammad beheaded 800 jewish prisoners who wouldn't convert to islam. The jews who survived the mass islamic beheading were the ones who converted to islam.

Pope Ratswhatever made an issue of this...the only thing worthwhile the stupid old man has done. The pope was criticizing the very existance of such a doctrine...that is...a doctrine that legitamizes forced relgious afflitation.

How do muslims defend this? They just deny it. Here's how the game is played -

"why forced conversions in islam"

there are no forced conversions

"of course there are...it started with muhammad beheading prisoners who didn't convert"

"that wasn't a forced conversion...let me explain...(as if there ever could ever be any explaination)".

When I say imposing, I mean bossy, quick with petty, unsolicited advice, pride, judgemental, etc. Aren't we as Christians supposed to be known for our humility?

Christianity, Judaism, and Islam seem to have a lot in common....for example all 3 religions recognize a man named "Adam" to be the first man created by "God" and that he is a prophet. All 3 of these religions originated in the same geographic region...

Personally I am none of these religions, I think fundamental religion is pretty lame...although I respect people that are true to their religion, have their own personal relationships with god, and don't preach their views on everyone and try to convert people....but I want to hear from people why these 3 religions, which have a lot in common, are torn by such hatred for each other?

I want intelligent answers please...

Why do the Romans worship Jesus if they were the ones who killed him? Feels like something is missing in history. Why do they worship someone they wanted dead?

what's the purpose of even giving rules to live by? honestly, if they are as arbitrarily laid out by god as christians would have you believe, without any connection to rules man might have wanted. wouldn't it make more sense to just leave it at accepting christ as your savior. think about it. we have the ten commandments. but even if we follow the ten commandments, it doesn't matter because good deeds won't get us into heaven. by that logic, there's no real reason to define sin as being anything other than denying christ. what do you think?

Ok I've celebrated the "Easter" holiday all my life. The history behind the holiday was explained very well to me as a child and as an adult. The subject of the goddess of fertility came up MANY times. It was explained that as pagans converted to Christianity they changed over their holidays to Christian holidays, and they gave things new meanings. For example, the Christmas tree was once a pagan symbol, but now Christians see the tree as a symbol, not only of Christ's birth, but his death. ( he was laid in a manger and and died on a cross) And, on easter we chose to celebrate his resurrection. Maybe our time isn't perfected, but the point is to celebrate it together as a body, and hay... decorating eggs and trees is fun.

God made eggs and God made trees, so there can't be anything wrong with Christians enjoying them.

What do you think?

John 10-28-30 (Two gods)
28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.
30 I and my Father are one. (Jesus + god= 2 gods)

John 17:21-22-23 (Fourteen gods)
21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one. (God + Jesus + 12 disciples=14 gods)
23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
