You have to remember who it is that says the Catholic church is so great - Catholics. They like to think they were the ones who made all these decisions and established truth etc. But the real truth is that the Bible (27 books in the New Testament) were accepted by the actual true church by the end of or shortly after the first century. 200 years later the Catholic church under Constantine holds a conference and declares what they think are the true books of the Bible.
are while true Christians just continue to accept and follow the Bible as they have from the beginning and have down to this day. As far as the Greeks doing the translating, that is not true, the translaters are normally the ones having the receiving language not the originating language.

While it is true that the Roman Catholic Church have burn many books regarding the bible, it does not mean that there is only one copy for one book. There are copies of books hidden by other ministries unknown to the Catholics. Other ministries other than the catholics have gathered those books and put them in one book which called the scripture or the bible and was translated on different languages in the world by talented translators.
The books in the bible was originally written in Hebrew,Aramaic and Greek languages

I just recently read the gnostic gospel of Thomas, and it's nonesense. It was left out of a "canon" of New Testament books in 180 AD, before the Roman Catholic Church was ever organized, because it was not really written by Thomas.
Where do people get the idea that over 200 deleted books were ever part of a Bible? They were not.
Bible scholars do know by whom and when most of the books of the Bible were written. There is some disagreement about Hebrews, but there seems to be some evidence that it was written by Timothy.

If one were to get into a serious study on the Bible, one would find that most of what is commonly believed is not accurate. The Catholics early efforts were focused on text from one location, and other efforts were focused on texts from a different Origin... just a hint as to how involved this truly gets... and yes there have been errors in translations, and still happens today... The Truth remains, man has not been able to destroy the Truth of God, by intent or by accident.

Yes we have been misled and you will find many more conspiracy theories on this. Equally why do you think there so many denominations of churches but only one God?
It is because human wants to bend the rules to suit him and ultimately the only true belief is that there is a Almighty God no matter which journey you take to get there.
On the Catholic part, google a bit and you will find lots of theories and facts on how eactly the Catholic church were created and why. And also why certain facts were withheld to the public. It also points back to "how to rule people" which is contrary to popular belief, not about giving the truth but manipulating it to ensure a constant following and of course money. Dont you find it strange that the Vatican is an "independent entity" yet all major political parties seek to have their favor? To be blessed? No, its to get good investment (financially).
Maybe all denominations were started with good and pure intentions but the "nature" of man will always corrupt it...

I Trust God to have enough Power to get the Scriptures to us that were are to believe and be Saved by and then in the Judgment we will be Judged by the same scriptures.
The Religious leaders from the time that the first scripture was written until today have tried to force people to come to the and pay great sums of money or honor or other things to receive God Word but God has foiled all such wicked people and organizations to protect His Holy Word for Us today. Praise God!

the best way to avoid this confusion is to get a Hebrew/Greek study bible and an amplified version. Although, most KJVs are corrected of their known changed here in the 2007. Lets not forget there still are Christians in Israel who dedicate their lives to the word of our Lord.

I do not...... and certainly as a Christian, I would expect you to think no less of my understanding.......
One thing can be said of the Scriptures.... and that is, they were not written by no one individual like the Koran... or as the Buddhists have it, or the Book of mormon.....
They were written by people from all walks of life... priests, shepherds, kingds, prophets, a tax collector, fishermen.....
The biggest mystery is that it exists at all - that its ancient texts have survived through centuries..... and is not even written in a single tongue....
It's authors employed three languages: Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic.......
That speaks volumes.....
and as God said He will reveal what He wants us to know in time, Some books are still being discovered......
Isn't that worth knowing!!!???

Ginger

That is a good point. And as far as books that were left out and books that were included the more you learn about that the scarier it get's.
For more information on the process of deciding what was included look up the council of Nicea at your local library or online sources you feel you can trust.

even Bible theologians themselves dont know who wrote the Bible, when the Bible was written, except gospel of Peter and Paul. According to islam the Bible does not have many of its original writings.
