Why do the Romans worship Jesus if they were the ones who killed him? Feels like something is missing in history. Why do they worship someone they wanted dead?

Not ALL Romans @ that time wanted JESUS to be crucified; many, as in: ENOUGH to cause the HIGH RANKING OFFICIALS to be concerned that the people would stop their allegiance to them--were at the heart of what you ask here.

Furthermore; it was the chief priests and Pharisees that were MOST threatened by the LORD JESUS; as they "KNEW NOT THEIR OWN SCRIPTURES" AND continually pushed and pushed for JC's DEATH.

What MUST be understood here is that I AM NOT anti-Semitic.....and, more deeply so: Jesus had FULL capability to stop all that occurred. But, why would Jesus (GOD INCARNATE) do that? when.....it was HIS VERY WILL, HIS ONLY PURPOSE IN BEING BORN...to redeem man from his sin nature and by HIS death; and following RESURRECTION....show al mankind that HE was the promised MESSIAH (Isaiah 53; Gen 3:14-19). AND TO ALL FUTURE generations who would JUST SIMPLY BELIEVE THE GOSPEL, the Good News of JESUS Christ,::; SALVATION to all who would use the measure of faith that GOD HAS placed in all human souls; to seek and find HIM, by a personal walk with Jesus, day by day; moment by moment! Blessed are those who believe, though they have yet to see, ................"the coming of the LORD draweth nigh!"

IT WAS NOT JUST THE ROMANS'
IT WAS NOT JUST THE PHARISEES'
IT WAS NOT JUST THE HIGH AND MIGHTY SNUBBED NOSED CHIEF PRIESTS.....
AND IT WAS NOT JUDAS,
WHOM BETRAYED AND ULTIMATELY HELD THE RESONSIBILITY OF JESUS' DEATH ON THIER SHOULDERS............

IT WAS YOU'
IT WAS ME'
IT WAS ALL MANKIND, BORN INTO SIN AND WITH A HUMAN NATURE THAT IS CONTRARY TO THE WILL OF GOD...............IT IS AT EMNITY WITH GOD, BECAUSE THE HUMAN NATURE LOVES AND SEEKS AFTER THE GAIN THAT THIS FALLEN WORLD OFFERS, THE LOVE OF MONEY, THE PLEASURES OF THE FLESH...AND SO FORTH............
"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2Ti 3:2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
2Ti 3:3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
2Ti 3:4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
2Ti 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
2Ti 3:6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
2Ti 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Unto the pure all things [are] pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving [is] nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled. Titus 1:16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny [him], being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Hbr 4:13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things [are] naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.
Hbr 4:14 ¶ Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast [our] profession. Hbr 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as [we are, yet] without sin. Hbr 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Then verily the first [covenant] had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary. Hbr 9:2 For there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein [was] the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary.
Hbr 9:3 And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all; Hbr 9:4 Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein [was] the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant; Hbr 9:5 And over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercyseat; of which we cannot now speak particularly.
Hbr 9:6 ¶ Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service [of God]. Hbr 9:7 But into the second [went] the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and [for] the errors of the people:
Hbr 9:8 The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing: Hbr 9:9 Which [was] a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience; Hbr 9:10 [Which stood] only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed [on them] until the time of reformation. Hbr 9:11 ¶ But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; Hbr 9:12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption [for us]. Hbr 9:13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: Hbr 9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? Hbr 9:15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions [that were] under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance. Hbr 9:16 ¶ For where a testament [is], there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.
Hbr 9:17 For a testament [is] of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.
Hbr 9:18 Whereupon neither the first [testament] was dedicated without blood. Hbr 9:19 For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people, Hbr 9:20 Saying, This [is] the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you. Hbr 9:21 Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry. Hbr 9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. Hbr 9:23 ¶ [It was] therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. Hbr 9:24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, [which are] the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: Hbr 9:25 Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others; Hbr 9:26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. Hbr 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. Mat 24:5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. Mat 24:6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all [these things] must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
Mat 24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. Mat 24:8 All these [are] the beginning of sorrows.
Mat 24:9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. Mat 24:10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. Mat 24:11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. Mat 24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. Mat 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. Mat 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

People in Rome today are not Romans, the Roman empire died with Julius Ceaser. They spoke latin, it is called a dead language because no country today speaks it. Rome today is inside Italy, the people are Italians, they host the Vatican which is a very important to the Catholic church.

Romans from old times (the year 0) worshipped the greek gods zues, aphrodite, bacchus and others, many converted to the new age cult of christianity when it first started.

The Romans could have cared less whether Jesus was dead or alive. They killed Him at the behest of the Jewish leaders. When Paul and Peter came to Rome and started talking to people, people began to believe in Jesus. Nothing really difficult about that.

confident that's what's declared. i think of Babylon here potential Babylon, regardless of the undeniable fact that some think of it fairly is a figurative call of Rome. i think of Simon Peter is merely too sensible to have used a figurative term. i do no longer think of Peter ever went to Rome. Paul does no longer have long previous to Rome if Peter had already been in Rome preaching the gospel there, because of the fact Paul made it clean that he went into places the place the gospel had no longer been preached earlier. for the reason that Rome replaced into on Paul's itinerary, it form of feels glaring that Paul; no longer Peter, based the church at Rome. additionally in a million puppy. a million:a million, seem on the checklist of places which he addresses. He strikes from east to west. This propose that the author replaced into interior the east on the time of the writing. Asia Minor (Turkey at present).

Depends on whether you believe in Catholicism or not. Catholics feel Peter handed the 'mantle' of leadership to them. Then history shows how much blood was shed on both sides of the debate. Then we end up with a 'church' that used the same political system and methods that their oppressors had used to suppress them to suppress anyone who thought differently than ROME. Seems to me that the 'church' was more converted to Roman philosophy, than Rome was converted to true Christianity. We ended up with a church that is ruled by papal 'Ceasar'.
And to those that blame Judaism for Christ's death, I say, you are not comprehending that the Lord had set it up that way from the start. The sacrifice of the Lamb at Passover was a symbol of Christ. Who else more perfect to offer Christ as a sacrifice than the chosen people. His people.

To answer this question I would suggest that modern Romans do not worship Jesus, they named a convenient God, Jesus, and chose to instruct and demand the method by which he is to be worshiped.

Matt. 7:
21
"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, 10 but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven. (not the will of a man here supposedly in place of Christ)
22
Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name? Did we not drive out demons in your name? Did we not do mighty deeds in your name?'
23
Then I will declare to them solemnly, 'I never knew you. 11 Depart from me, you evildoers.'

^There is never a stupid question. Only moronic answers which you have proven. He is referring to modern Rome and the difference between the time of death and the here and now. Catholicism is the most abundant religion in modern Rome.

You need to read up on history.

They didn't want him dead. The gvt wanted him dead. Remember, Bush is an idiot but you can't judge a whole entire people based on what one idiot leader does.

Jesus, if he existed, caused alot of trouble with the way of life and power of the Roman gvt.

Pontius Pilot was Jewish (same as Jesus) and gave the people a choice (they were also Jewish).

It was not "the people".

The Jews were the one who had Jesus killed. The only reason that they could not do it was because they were under roman law. A criminal was released so that Jesus would be killed

Because they realized just how much money and control over the masses they would have if they imposed Christianity.
